  1. maybe its a naive view, but surely addicts using a needle exchange must have some degree of self awareness/trying to limit the effects of their addiction. Is it not possible that the gp surgery already has patients who are addicts/have mental health problems which haven't caused a threat yet. Working locally (and in a v similar job to spadetown boy's former job) I have seen that ED is a very mixed bag of people and so everyone is probably living closer to people who might need these services than they would think.
  2. ... maybe if he approaches anyone else on the forum he should be told what a tight-nit internet community we are?!!!
  3. heard on the news the other day that they'd found asbestos there so had to close until its all been made safe. Don't know any more than that!
  4. its on kirkdale as you head towards sydenham on the R after the dartmouth road roundabout if memory serves me right..
  5. think there could be additional problems related to ensuring the meds are handed over to the correct person and that they know about the meds (important if new meds or change in dosage).... we have to be careful enough giving out prescriptions in A&E!
  6. great a wii's are fab thread!!!! Not sure if getting a wii is directly related to being told I need glasses yesterday! Bit confused about the wii code thing... not got it sorted out with the wireless yet - can you play games at the same time on different wii's online too??
  7. We moved down from Walthamstow so used a company local to there, but made sure the firm we used was BAR registered, and a guy came to do an estimate for us - having a quick look round to check how much stuff there was and left us loads of boxes/bubble wrap and tape - they were fab and far less hassle than the estate agent this end we were dealing with!!
  8. can't believe I'm going to miss the open house w/e again - requested it off work especially this year and then a family thing came up so I'll be heading off to Portsmouth - drat!! Luckily I can get a good view sneaking onto the roof at work(just down the road from WB college)!
  9. if you're in the upper east side you've got a couple of alternatives, could get 12 to Peckham Rye and then train to London Bridge (their more frequent from there) or could go via Forest Hill/Honor Oak (on same line and also have more trains to LB than ED) and get to New Cross then East London/jubilee line from there
  10. I reckon Jeanne Garfolano would be perfect (unfortunately little older than me so poss wouldn't work quite so well!!

  18. Maybe we need to create a special forum wave for when running so potentially unable to say "do you post?!" ?? Have also realised that the 3 of you I spoke to yesterday - I didn't ask what you're names on here were so still not sure who I met.... not doing 3 consecutive nights out for my birthday next year - realising brain can't handle it!!!
