I'll already be in the park having a picnic that day as the 29th's my birthday - come over and say hi - we might be up for frisbee or bit of rounder's if you fancied it. While on this subject though, i'd like to pick to forum's brains....was thinking of having my picnic near-ish the playground (as there'll be several little 'un's about) but does anyone have any other suggestions of where in the park is especially good for picnicing??

hey guys (I use to work with both of you!!) I saw an Audrey like cat outside mine on Friern road an hr ago (but again without a collar - and have seen the same cat here before though), just looked outside and couldn't see it (did make daft noises to try and attract it too!) will keep my eyes peeled xx

I would like to guess, with the sports acadamey based just up the road at the Harris girls school it would be daft for the boys not to use those facilities, thus, not needing to replicate them at their school (same as there could be facilites at the new school the girls should use). -

Does anyone live near the girls school, charter or kingsdale schools?? I've not seen threads on here complaining about either of these schools before - surely if living near a school was so troublesome it would have been mentioned on the forum before as I can't see why this school would be any different to those already existing. Being such a built up area there isn't going to be anywhere that a school of the size needed could go without being near houses/residential areas. -
yup.... think their related to the fair at Bel-air park but always surprised how much the sound travels.

Ant Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Bugg-Harmer's too good an opportunity to miss! > > (I accept that this is easier to say when it's not > going to be your own name.) Hmmm, think I might pass on that one!! Course it wouldn't be as bad as the family I've met who are Pine-Coffin's.... I kid you not!!

I've always looked forward to getting married and getting rid of my surname (Bugg), but now it is becoming a possibility that I will get proposed to at some point I'm already starting to miss it. There's no way I'd go double barrelled (IF I was to get proposed to and married) as that would be Bugg-Harmer or Harmer-Bugg - both v v wrong!!!

apparently she might be heading back - she's being ordered back to court as (unsurprisingly) there's been a big outcry about this!

think Lee will win as IMHO ALW voted off the real competition he had over the last few weeks (Ben and Daniel). Feels that although the public vote the result is clear already anyhoo....... cripes this sounds like I take it a bit seriously doesn't it!!!!!

went to shanghi blues in holborn on sunday for dim sum and it was lovely - esp recommend the exotic fruit platter. We tried it after reading about it in the observer food monthly magazine last w/e. -
I'll be on nights so I hope I don't see any of you - it'll mean you've come a cropper some how...

3 laps is 5k - one lap is approx 1700 metres, had thought of doing the run but breaking my toe at easter put a stop to that! V impressed at mightyroar's time - I can do 2 laps in about the same time and am hugely chuffed at that!!
-
think I saw Kate Thornton in Sainsburys the other week - slightly superceded by a grumpy Martin Jarvis in Boots in Covent Garden later the same day though!!
-
have met Mr Pinear and his family several times through my job, and he has always been very nice and his children are very cute.

is there a fold up option - have been a big fan of the fold up shoppers from sainsburys and would love to have an ED one of those.

I'm a big comedy fan, don't go to EDComedy as much as I should because my friends run a club in covent garden (the funny side of covent garden - just a 176 away!) so I'm normally there helping out, but my top 3 local highlights include: *Celeb pub quizzes upstairs at the EDT - Arthur Smith comparing and me and friends were the only all girl team - he helped us out with a few answers!! Repeated having Steve Frost and his brother trying to turn me away from going in! *Omid Djalili at a packed out Magdela - I was stood at the back and ended up right in his eyeline as he was demonstrating how Iranian men shout about their passion to their ladies (he shouted at me about how he was so in love he'd chop his arm off or something!) *Mark Thomas at the Hob last year - engaging, thought provoking and laughout loud funny.

I should be better at remembering all the awful names I come into contact with at work - there are so many different versions of spelling some names - Aaliyah is one that comes to mind - at least 4 different spellings, and now there are often ' 's dotted in the middle of names - dwayne is becoming d'wayne (yup - without any of the letters missing!). Although the daftest name I've recently learnt of is one that my estranged auntie has given her newest sprog - Niobe - btw its a girl!

interesting to see those figures but wonder how accurate they are - I lived in ED when that census was undertaken living in a conversion flat. While clearly having 2 doorbells on the front door only one form was posted through which the downstairs neighbours took. Despite calling the "helpline" no other form was sent so I'm guessing me and my housemate will appear to have not existed. Still, means that in generations to come if geaneolgy is still as popular I'll cause my great great great grandchildren some confusion!!

And the award for Best Customer Service goes to.. ?
buggie replied to *Bob*'s topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
can I add on The Pistachio Club - their always friendly and smiling, do the best curries in ED! -
Me and blokie got a takeaway from Gold Lee last night after being recommended in this thread. Glad to say it was fantastic, we even got drama thrown in as the guys had to deal with probably the ultimate difficult customer while we were there!! Made sure we'd got a menu so will be back.

very excited as free 5th june - PM coming your way Elfy!! Unfortunately working the w/e of the fair otherwise would have loved to help. Is it worth me requesting the first Tue of July off for the next meeting (sorry have to think this far in advance - joy of the job!)
