  1. I always wondered if advertising revenue is hit by the ability to pause live to nowadays and thus start watching a program five minutes late and winding on the adverts. Anyway, carry on please.
  2. Afraid I do this deliberately to stop getting hemmed in!
  3. I used to cycle this exact journey in about 25 mins
  4. You rarely hear about the good ones cos people don't gripe if they're happy.

    .

Nope, you will almost certainly find that they are not funded by the council at all.
  6. The thing that worries me most is more and continued austerity. Must admit this is quite personal as it would mean the end of my current job and extremely limited prospects of getting another one, as well as the genuine human concern for others. Would people more learned than me care to comment? Looking for any cold comfort that there may be.

I am happy to admit I was wrong about Corbyn and following the referendum I desperately want him to stand down, but I am not sure I get the vitriol about what he said his morning. Only watched it once but whilst it probably was not the best judged comment in the world I think it has been completely taken out of context. What worries me more at the moment is the amount of horseshit spouted by Momentum. I have had a run in with this lot and they posted a lot of vile about me (in my professional capacity) about how I was responsible for the deaths of certain individuals. With Corbyn allying himself to these twats I cannot see him with any credibility any more. Owen Smith for me (and quite a few MPs I have spoken to)!
  9. Time to stop being pansies and get on with clearing this mess up! Oh, and reclaim your Irish or Scottish nationality of you can! Britain is finished!

    EU Petition

I have to say whilst I hate the result, a second referendum based on a petition is laughable. Perhaps there will be one when the reality of the situation comes to pass but that is another issue. (Johnson's original idea I believe). I do think it's sad that reportedly people have been phoning up asking how they change their vote. The word dickheads springs to mind!

    Pointless?
  12. Leave then. We won't miss you!
  13. Property guardians want employed people only. Have Southwark issued a Section 184 letter? Have you asked for a review and accommodation pending the review? Have you got a solicitor involved? If not then you need to as often this will tip the balance in your favour and you should be able to get legal aid for the case. These are the first steps to take. I would also contact Shelter if you cannot find a solicitor to take the case on as they will provide excellent free advice and may help you challenge Southwarks's decision. Basically you need to prove that you are significantly more vulnerable than the ordinary person who is homeless. I would suggest that the ordinary person is not in remission from cancer so you can use this. It will be dependent on what treatment you are having at the moment and evidence from your consultant may well be key. Ensure Southwark have made these enquiries when you ask for a case review. Do not leave it long as the review period is time limited. Best of luck!
  14. Ooh just had a look at him. Seems to be very scared if Islam.
  15. Waiter forgets that 7th bottle of wine you had on the bill!
  16. I am not sure any PR damage is done as most people don't know or care about this. Even me, who despises most of the govt policies, thinks this is a nothing.
  17. Sadiq Khan did.
  18. Not thought because these properties are being used for non permanent housing. Therefore no right to buy. Jeremy, I am not sure if Southwark are doing it. Not heard that they are. Other boroughs and some charities most definitely are. Pal of mine is on commission for Westminster persuading leaseholders to do it.

I think progress is being made on this point but probably too slow. Seems to me however it is the liability insurers who are holding progress back, probably because unions have too much say in public sector. Insurers are scared of big payouts so instruct and advise to be risk averse. Not way too much though. Just thinking of me dad spinning in his grave there.
  20. Councils are offering to buy, not compulsory purchases. Thousands of families are homeless thanks to govt policy. It's a crisis of terrifying proportions. Some inner London schools are full of kids in temporary accommodation. It's all very messy and sad. Shame Jeremy does not believe it innit?
  21. Socially excluded tenants in rent arrears shocker? Not sure what your point is there to be honest?
  22. It's happening all over.many council housing departments and almos are doing precisely this. Shame you don't buy it when councils are.
  23. Money paid back will come from their housing related account and I won't affect the general fund. They should be able to afford it therefore.
  24. Some Local authorities were looking at it for homeless accommodation. The price was too high for the one I work for, but the idea was to buy the footprint and build a bigger hostel on it for homeless families. However, I have no idea if this is what went through.
