Sadly I watch these cuts have effect on a daily basis. Not sure that many of you do. Homelessness going through the roof at the moment, with all support services cut to ribbons. People dying on the street (2 of mine this year so far). Support budget in my borough now cut from ?17m to under ?3m. Can the Tory voters tell me how they defend this? I am genuinely interested because I cannot see how they can. And the social cleansing that is now beginning in earnest in London is quite sinister I think. I am conscious my opinions are based on what I do for a living, but I guess so are a bankers.

Don't forget when it was at the Magdala. Fab nights there too.

Had this dilema about 3 weeks ago. M9 is not meant to be much of an update on the M8, and I was a huge HTC fan. Thought the S6 looked very crappy. Reminded me of the S3 way too much. Also batter life is meant to be appalling. I went for Iphone 6 in the end. Not had an iphone for years and years. It's FABulous!!!

Ugh, can't they move it somewhere poor, like Grove Park or even Gravesend?? -
There are food banks round the corner. Any perspective?

Serious question, does the ball not just fly off in the wind?

Incidents when I was there: Some young lad waved their willy at my wife at the bottom of Francis ave. police called and person humiliated by wife who laughed at him. Friend mugged for two bottles of Rioja in football ground car park. (Only in East dulwich ffs) Neighbour burgled. Back neighbour burgled. That's it. In 9 years. And my neighbour left his door open so that one doesn't count. Move there, you will not regret it. -

Chrissy Boy from Madness was a regular too and another actor who's name I struggle to remember but a very familar face. Used to all go on then to Cafe Mexicana for late drinks! Early 90s! Lived next to the Mag when ED Comedey was there (209b Lordship Lane don't ya know). Used to love Comedy Pub Quiz on a Thursday with Ray Peacock! Ahh yesterday - leave me alone.......

Just to add that the level of cuts councils are facing are phenomenal. Now this is in no way an excuse, but I for instance made 8 people redundant in a local authority last week in a department that is hugely overstretched. Madness really but that's the way it is. like, I say, no excuse but the government has deliberately destroyed services for the vulnerable by slashing the money councils have. Councillor enquiry however on this case is exactly the right way to go. Good luck!

Only one c is necessary is the way I have always remembered it. -
Appliances Online is superb. After sales is a bit of a pain in the bum however, but these were best price for me when I was doing the same.

Homeless figures in LB Lewisham are higher than they have ever been in all my time working with homeless people (20 years). a startling number of people agreeing made homeless for economic reasons, with the benefits cap, bedroom tax and low rate of lha making things ten times worse. Don't be too sure that social cleansing is not inadvertently happening. Family gets rent put up, can't afford rent, gets evicted, goes to council, gets relocated to an area where they can afford rent due to lack of social housing. Wealthier family that can afford the rent move in. Times this by about 4000 a year and you get the picture.

Wish people would stay out of Catford! Rents and prices already shooting up there creating a huge amount of homelessness as landlords evict their long standing tenants or raise their rents way above what is affordable in the hope of catching the newer money spilling in from already overpriced areas. My fear is in three or four years time Catford will be as socially cleansed as other areas.
