    Pedestrians and cyclists do not mix, even in parks, unless the lanes are completely separate and not just a lined-off section of a walkway. Today in SE22 I saw two lots of magazinified parents - daddy up front with baby/toddler in a basket, mummy at the back and the other kid riding in between - on the pavement. Having a child cycle with you doesn't allow you to break the law. (They sped off too quickly before I could tell them.)

    Got mine, after having waited a long time in the surgery, to be told that I'd've been much quicker had I taken up the offer from Boots! Was told it would be 90 percent effective but will still be washing my hands often and thoroughly.

    Im not going that way.im going the shortest route possible to save my childrens little legs from walking further than they have to. Just wrap them in cotton wool and call for a passing sunbeam to teleport them where they want to be. Sheesh!

    Balance - An officer wearing a Southwark badge should not be doing anything that brings Southwark into disrepute. Having a slash in public does precisely that. You should have taken his registration and reported him. Cue public pissing defenders.........

    James, I agree with you up to a point. There are plenty of non smartphone-owning OAPs who use Iceland: it's them I fear for, not the people you are talking about. I like shopping at Iceland: the service is good, basics are cheap and good value and it does provide a different kind of "shopping experience". Lots of people bang on about diversity these days; it ought to apply to the choice of grocery shops too!

    Hmmm. I think scores of flats for people to live in, and the associated regeneration it might well bring, trumps the disappointment over a slightly marred view of a few thousand blow-ins between June and September. Frank's will be over in a few years anyway, once the hep cats discover that Upper Norwood is where it's at.
