  8. I really cannot see the point of paying him off, we lose ?6 mio yet gain ?85k a week and what happens when players start to get injured. Yes we are long Midfielders but someone like freddie can help with the kids coming through. Yes I am a unhappy hammer.

  10. I have Sky, was with Orange for 7 years then moved to Sky. ?10 a month with the package and so far works well. Has not dropped off once can use laptop upstairs and desktop down and it's all fine. Takes 1 min to download a song and roughly 2hrs for 750mb film which I am very happy with. They send modem and disc through post and very easy to set-up took about 10 days to get switched over. V pleased me
  11. So walked through Green Park to Victoria St ( 15 mins ) nice walk lots to look at. Then because I am a tool and did not check train times waited 45 mins for train to Peckham Rye. On the plus side took scooter in today and got caught behind fuel cell bus was like having a shower at 30 miles an hour.. Can we have more of these on the road please.
  12. I'm going to walk to Northcross road and take the 185 to Victoria.. now if only I could find somewhere to park my horse.
  13. Showing ye age if you are singing Glen Campbell songs.. Grosvenor Sq guv'nor and so yes I know better routes in but have lived south of the river for one month so thought best to try out new things. I really don't like the idea of bus train tube walk. Sitting on the bus for an hour was fine and did indeed get much reading done. Think with schools out the journey would take a little longer. So next week will try another route in
  14. Err its like being married to 50 different women, all different opinions, where you are wrong they are right and everyone gets to see. Going to hide now as I may get beaten up
  15. Took the bus into work today, one hour 10 mins. On thy bike it's 25. Guess it was good to try once
  16. Hello, have to say I think this forum is great. If you are new to the area, want to find out what's going on or looking for someone to fix something then this place is fantastic. Plus you get loads of abuse for making any comments. It's like being married to 50 different women
  17. On another note if you get an electric scooter you can park for free.. I'm sure this would then change once they found out the scooters were running down 5 people a week because they could not hear them screaming through the traffic at 20 miles an hour..
  18. I think the problem started with the congestion charge.. made it free for bikes so everyone started to scooter in. then they realised that only a limited number of spaces so they change car spaces to bikes and they lose out on a revenue stream. I'm guessing but would not take long till City of London takes this up and then all boroughs.
  19. Victoria Station is sill in Westminster so you need to park outside to avoid the charge and I'm guessing this but would think it would take 15 mins to walk over the Thames...
  20. The borough of Westminster is huge so you could drive to Lambeth bridge in 10 mins and then walk for 30 mins to Mayfair but that hardly seems worth it.
  21. Oh dont get me wrong I am not happy about the new tax.. I put ?5 a week in my bike and so that's my weekly cost doubled. I was just pointing out that they are not going to change so might as well sign up and get a months free. Just wish they would hurry up and open up the bus lanes for us..
  22. Hello all.. Just sorted myself out with Westminster Council bike parking. If you sign up before 3rd August you get the whole month free... which is nice. You can pay weekly ?5 Qtly ?20 or Yearly ?150 So its not a huge amount but what happens if you actually live in the Zone and pay to park yr bike outside yr house. I don't having moved to lovely East Dulwich from Bow.
