  2. There's the hairdresser called Headnizm. My favourite name's a hairdressers in Bath called Curl up and Dye. Of course the fish and chip shop on East Dulwich Road called The Codfather [edited once]
  3. it's got to be the amusement arcade
  4. Did everyone get one of these delivered to their homes? It just seems to be a book of adverts or am I missing something?
  5. because this forum is just one big 24hr needle exchange in disguise, user.

You can teach that people have different beliefs and what they mean etc etc but it shouldn't be taught that they are true.

Jesus, it's people like you that give non-muslims a bad name. May I suggest you make yourself a bit more Islam savvy http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/islam/. God help your soul.
  9. I think it's fine for children to perform a nativity play as long as they're told that it's a made up story. It's when they're told it's history that I find it offensive.

  11. For me the Occasion of the Year was on March 08 at 11:21AM. The The Willow Armed Robbery / gun crime in ED thread went so far off topic when people began talking about Polly's got some engagement news that the Administrator gave up trying to stop people from chatting on serious threads and The Lounge was created. It's amusing that a Google search on Lounged shows the East Dulwich Forum at the top, with the discussion Re: Vomit on the 176 (Lounged).
  12. Yes, it's ?7. We watched the game last night from the relative warmth of the Hamlets Bar which has a view over the pitch and had the Liverpool game on so we had the best of both worlds. Unfortunately Dulwich lost 3-1 which put an end to their LSC chances but they're having a winning run in the league and they're currently 6th in the table so definitely worth watching. Here's their fixture list And there's Norm the Eclectic Rabbi who writes "Musings, meanderings from the sidelines of Dulwich Hamlet" http://www.normtheeclecticrabbi.blogspot.com/
  13. I did lots of shopping last year in the shopping centre of Angel last year because it's not too busy and it has Borders/Woolworths/HMV/The Angelic etc but I'll only Christmas shop in East Dulwich for stocking filler presents. Do people from outside the immediate area visit East Dulwich because it's a known as a shopping centre?
  14. Tonight's game is a London Senior Cup game, should be a (cold) laugh.
  15. Annasfield Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ::o Yeah, yeah I know but I want to see a good local game in Dulwich. If Liverpool get through I can watch them again, if they don't I won't be annoyed about that and that I missed a good local game.
  16. Hi Jill, have a look at these discussions: ED Warehouse and Oysters & the ED Warehouse
  17. I know but I can record the Liverpool game
  18. The Hamlets are playing AFC Wimbledon tonight (Tuesday 7:45) at home at the Champion Hill stadium (by Sainsburys), is there likely to be a big crowd? Someone told me that the Wimbledon following will out-number the home crowd so I think we should try an rally up a few people to go. I'm going to head up with a couple of mates, is anyone else going? edited title and text to say tonight instead of tomorrow night. [edited once]
  19. Did the shop open today?
  20. oh, i forgot to say I heard that Snorky's opening up a M&S franchise on Lordship Lane
  21. It's not a hoax, it's a scam that did the rounds a few years ago and this coming around againd is just making people aware that you should be cautious when giving out your personal and card details over the phone. http://www.snopes.com/crime/warnings/creditcard.asp
  22. isn't that the White Stuff's window display?
  23. My brown bin of green waste was emptied this morning too
  24. Having an "outdoor dog" that doesn't come into the house is quite normal in England too. And a dog outside a cafe, even if it is raining, is not really animal abuse, like its owner said "He has this big furry coat thing that keeps him warm in the rain/snow/wind".
  25. I see/hear the Suburban Pirate has produced "A Cosy East Dulwich Christmas" song, you can hear it on his website http://www.thesuburbanpirate.com/podcasts.html, the line "Looks like foxtons gonna have a shaky christmas" made me chuckle
