  1. As all links on the site are blue, making it another colour would confuse people so what I'll (try to) do is make links in messages bold, like this. This is a test one, if it's bold then it works. OK, it seems to work, let me know if that's better or worse. [edited once]

    Panettone

as ED_pete once pointed out "Genuine Italian Panettone, 1 kg, ?2.99 in Lidl, Peckham." It seems you're better off going there and getting more for your money than going to the ED Deli
  5. The comedy at the EDT every other Thursday is very good, I tend to laugh a lot when I go. Joe Rowntree (the organiser/compere) is a very funny guy on his own right and the acts vary enormously and I never know what to expect but I do come out having laughed. You can book a table, which is what we tend to do and if you want to come and join our table this Thursday then please feel free. You can read about this Thursday's acts here

    Record Posts

the search at the top of the page only searches the last 365 days, if you click on Dulwich Mum's name you see she's actually posted 1,924 times. ">What is the record thread as measured by posts per day? Does the Administrator keep such statistics?" Unfortunately The Administrator doesn't have those stats, they could be discovered by querying the database but neither the Admin or I know how to do that. I would think the current song game thread is probably the one with the most posts in a day.
  8. Hi Steve I've looked into it a bit but it's quite hard to do technically and financially (because of taking payments) and to get people to give a small amount to sell something is that Loot does and they're a company. It's a good idea but I came to the decision that the administration for setting it up and running it is too much, if the technology became readily available to do it easily then one day I might. Thanks for the suggestion Mark
  9. anyone? I fancy going but the usual posse can't make it and it's better to go with others, so if you want to watch the local team at their home stadium next to Sainsbury's, 3 o'clock kick off today, let me know. I Taken from Eddie M's post: Despite two successive 1-1 draws, Hamlet have crept up to 4th place although as can be seen below its very tight. Their next home game is against Chatham Town (who are 16th) and takes place on Saturday 12th January, kick-off at 3.00pm at the Champion Hill Stadium next to Sainsbury's on Dog Kennel Hill. Admittance ?7.00 adults, ?3.00 concessions. For info, the current top seven standings in Ryman League Div 1 South are: Dover PL 21, PTS 50 ------------------------------ Tooting PL 23 PTS 49 Cray W PL 24 PTS 47 HAMLET PL 23 PTS 41 Met Police PL 24 PTS 41 ------------------------------ Kingstonian PL 23 PTS 41 Walton & Hersham PL 22 PTS 39 It's child friendly too
  10. let me guess, your DJing equipment kit included a Kenwood mixer sorry
  11. 2 hours and 25 minutes for "Clapham", "middle class" and "chain" to appear in this thread, I was actually expecting it to be sooner but I guess "she's" not around today. I was also waiting for "3 wheeled buggy" to appear but there, I've just said it so a full house. I quite like Oliver Bonas stuff, nice mirrors from what I can recall from visiting there other shops. [edited once]
  12. so the rumours of it becoming a tattoo parlour, a pound shop or a Carphone Warehouse are untrue then.
  13. I'm going to join you for a curry, see in you in Franklins at 7:30

  15. Sorry, I've never been in Caravaggio (or know what it is) so I can't comment, and this doesn't seem particularly East Dulwich thread but I'm sure the Admin could leave it a while to see if any East Dulwich student offers come to light.
  16. I had another very pleasant Sunday Lunch in there again yesterday Alan, and I agree it's well worth the walk there. Even if you're not a student.
  17. When you're in the video shop looking along the rows of films to see what's on offer, then someone comes and stands in front of you to do the same.

    Mediumship

And how can I get one to show itself to me? And if a spirit can lift a table to prove it exists, why doesn't it lift a pen and write something instead? That would be a better way of getting people to believe you exist, especially as it seems they've been trying to communicate since 1848 and have had 150 years of practice. Shaman, would you mind if put a challenge down to you to show me a spirit? Not something that I've "never before encountered" as you mentioned before as that's different but a spirit, something that can show itself to me, a believer in many things although admittedly most of them real. Perhaps PeckhamRose and LixzzygotDizzy could be part of it too and you could show us together? Please...?

I really want to see/feel/touch a spirit, how can I get one to show itself to me?
  21. I have to admit I have a soft spot for Green & Blue as our small local shop that sells very nice win. They were discussed on the forum about a year ago (read it here) and one of the owners, Kate, came on and answered her critics in an very friendly and professional way. She even offered 15 forum users a free wine tasting session which was accepted and a fun and informative evening was had by all. Since then I've frequently had enjoyable food and drink in there, and every time it comes with a with friendly service. I feel the owners have a passion about their business, both the running of it and the products they sell, and the closing of the premises (albeit temporary) is a sorry loss to East Dulwich. It's a big shame that it this situation has arisen and I'm sure the politics of it shouldn't be posted on here but when you feel passionately about something sometimes you let that passion get the better of you, as in the original "outburst" blog post and notice on the door which have since been amended. Some might say that it's a sign that they're human, like the rest of us. I hope this get sorted quickly and amicably.
  22. Please keep this discussion to the topic of "Green and Blue closure?" thank you
  23. I saw the note in the window of Green & Blue this evening and it didn't mention its neighbours
  24. I want one too, especially if you could lie on them at the end of the night and press the auto "take me home" button
