  1. Let's not be ridiculous....
  2. Just in this morning and the changes to the gym look positive - upgraded equipment, more machines & free weights and new water fountains. New entry system to scan your card too! Keep up the good work EA!
  3. So sorry to hear this - we really loved George and we always looked forward to his visits. He'd pop in through open doors and windows and stay for an hour or two for some cuddles and to chase an old bit of string before heading off on his travels again. He was an absolutely wonderful chap, such a lovely friendly personality and we often thought how lucky you were to have someone like him. Poor little thing. We will miss him.
  4. It isn't George is it? I do know there are at least two ginger toms which live close to lordship lane, who I've seen nearby and look quite similar.
  5. !!!!! as a non- medical person I'd be a bit careful suggesting that a doctor has misdiagnosed dehydration as stress/anxiety DF! OP - you should always follow the advice of a medical professional. Perhaps ask you Dr or a nurse in the practice about using your medication on a flight?
  6. There is an app called olio you could try? http://olioex.com
  7. #penisbest -best hashtag of the referendum?
  8. V interesting Sue! We bought some phermeone traps a week or so ago, after we set off several foggers we bought from the DIY shop - next day I opened the cupboard and found a moth crawling over my work suit! Phermeone strips in situ we have caught nothing, but I expect the buggers are just lulling me into a false sense of security....
  9. I seem to remember a similar thread on here a while back - when leaseholders looked into the bills received / asked for a schedule of works, if I remember rightly, it was clear that some of the work that was represented to the council as being carried out had not been carried out at all. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1216858,1635601#msg-1635601
  10. JRK I hate them too. Words cannot describe my utter revulsion when I found my other half's wool jacket (too small and 10 years old) in the back of a cupboard LITERALLY CRAWLING. I've had to put a ban on buying nice things. If I like it, moths (larvae) will eat it. We didn't have a problem before moving to our new place 3 years ago, so I wonder if as Fox says they were a "residual" problem that resurfaced in time
  11. Boddle- don't let them get you down. You did absolutely the right thing and much more than most. Remember you are the sane one!
  12. Thank you Loz! Right behind you.
  13. I'd have a look at exactly where in those cities your precious "boutiques" are Louisa. I think the Manchester shop is right down the road from Barbour and the white company and the Brighton one is in The Lanes! These are absolutely "high end pockets" - just in different cities!!!
  14. Hi there - I saw George on Sunday night and yesterday morning on Crawthew Grove. I'm sure he will come home again soon! I'll keep an eye out for him and let you know if I see him again.
  15. Ah yes - although you can still change from the jubilee to the Hammersmith and City or the circle line at Baker Street.
  16. The only problem with the Farringdon trains are timeliness. If you are heading for a peak time departure from Paddington then delays and sudden cancellations on thameslink (extremely common at these times of day)can add an extra heaping of stress on top of an already crowded and unpleasant journey. I'd go with ruffers suggestion every time because trains from ED are more frequent. Farringdon routes might be more stress free when they work...but unfortunately thameslink train services are a complete joke.
  17. Hi bellendenbear- we went a year ago and used Eskimos Iceland to organise our tours. I loved it. They do lots of tours (full day/half day) as well as private trips (I.e. For the full time you're there). We went and they took us to lots of little thermal pools, the golden circle, selfoss, glacier hiking and dogsledding. Blue lagoon is great to visit on your way to or from the airport so worth checking if they have space on the day or departure as well as arrival. If you are staying out in the country (we did 2 nights at hotel ion, which have thermal baths and a wake up service if the lights happen to appear while you are asleep) you might find your hotel has geothermal baths as well. I've got friends who stayed at hotel ranga (also in country & have a wake up service - not sure about the baths though) & some that just hired an Airbnb in reykjavik. In short - everyone I know who has been to Iceland has absolutely raved about it, even though everyone I know who has been has done something slightly different. I hope you have a lovely time.
  18. Still close! Thanks for letting me know and good luck bringing back a van of vin!
  19. Hi jacks - is the venue London based? Interested to know if you have found a "dry" venue that lets you bring your own!
  20. If I'm ever out and having an evening off the booze (very rare...) I find it hard to match others' pints of beer with the same quantity of a sweet fizzy drink. I quite like to have a non alcoholic ginger beer like fentimans (probably no less sweet, but less of it) & then stick to soda water and fresh lime juice (not cordial) to avoid a sugar headache! I think a while back there was a thread discussing the virtues of various alcohol free beers. Being off the booze doesn't necessarily mean staying in, I'm sure your local would still love to see you.
  21. Great intel!!! Love honest.
  22. I never used to bother & thought people only covered pins to stop those behind them in the queue from commuting an offence ... Then I watched a documentary which focused on crime on the underground (it was interesting I swear!)- the team pulled an entire false front off a cash machine located in the concourse of a busy station, revealing a Lebanese loop and a camera. I was completely surprised that something so big could be fitted in an area that would always (when open) be surrounded by people. Since then I've been a lot more wary. You probably wont be able to avoid using a machine with a loop fitted ... But you can prevent the camera catching your pin by covering it entirely.
  23. Echoing Ourbubble and Jacqui - thanks for letting us know, and I'm very sorry you had your card stolen. I hope your bank refund the money. A shame Tescos couldn't help more (or put a warning up) but I can understand their position.
  24. Thanks for sharing these look great. They all look good but I like the black and white one with the 176 the best.
  25. They just told me it is a burst water main so they need to pull up the road - chap tried to do it without a jackhammer and was getting nowhere and if they leave it the street might flood. It does seem to have stopped now!
