I had such a > crush on James Aubrey.........sigh. I had a crush on him as well. Ran into him once at Birmingham New Street station and shared a train back to London. Really shocked to find out he was English.
  3. What does look at you gauntly mean?
  4. Sue, Ellipsis - apostrophe - what?
  5. Maybe Scott and his company could take it over.
  6. I gave up watching about the time I posted my first message. Tonight's episode was dreadful. What is up with British TV drama? Give me some Dexter, True Blood or Mad Men any day.
  7. What the hell have they done to this? It doesn't bear any resemblance to the original. The Gavin character is extremely unlikeable and I find it hard to believe that Pru would like him let alone marry him.
  8. The apostrophes make me glaze over and you did it 9 times! Too much Stella???
  9. If you are in the West End there is one at Marble Arch open until midnight.
  10. Woof - get a grip on your rogue apostrophes please.
  11. A neighbour of mine growing up had 2 boys 10 months apart. Her husband must have been very eager.
  12. Put an advert in the Wanted section.
  13. Saw the very end of it with Robbie and Gary bromancing each other. Just don't get the Robbie attraction.
  14. I am very grumpy about adults who think it is OK to cycle on pavements because they have children with them. This happens a lot around here.
  15. Yeah and don't forget people who shop at Lidl, Aldi and Pound Stores. How much are pints in Wetherspoons btw. I paid ?3.50 for one at lunchtime.
  16. Well, where I stayed we didn't have to deal with conveyors!
  17. Conveyor - what???
  18. I don't understand why there can't be a toaster out so you can make your own. When staying at several different hotels in the States their breakfast room had a make your own toast section and a make your own waffle section.
  19. What's with all this argy-bargy about a pub? Don't go there if you don't like Wetherspoons. There are plenty of indie pubs in ED and Peckham you can visit.

The original poster - Layla's Mum - said in her post that she didn't think the Herne was good value for money. I have been to the Wodhouse and although it has a nice garden don't think the food is very good.
  21. Sorry to hear about your window boxes. It doesn't surprise me. I deliberately don't have anything like that in my front garden as I know friends - not in this area - who have had boxes and bay trees stolen as well as benches. It's not an ED specific thing.
  22. I am sure that leaving your TV on stand-by does use up a reasonable amount of electricity - although not oodles. Anyone know how much? And with bills constantly rising surely it is worth turning off at the set. I also heard that if you leave phone chargers plugged in without the phone attached that they also use electricity. Sounds daft but is it true?
  23. What is a Speedtouch? So when you say the wattage is that per hour?
  24. Don't have BT or BT vision. What do you mean by upgrading?
