  1. If you clink on the link it says ?85 a year unless you are a Which subscriber........
  2. I use mine to access my laptop in any room. It's the thing you plug into your phone socket. I do turn my TV off at the set and don't use the handset. Think I will start turning mine off when I go out. I think people used to be quite cavalier about electricity bills before and leaving stuff on but not any more!
  3. Wanted to hear other opinions. Do they use a lot of electricity? I have turned mine off when on holiday but wondered if they lasted longer if turned off say overnight or when out all day?

I also used to go to a particular hairdressers because they charged the same price for both men and women. I left them when they started charging more for the women.
  6. Can you get one of those portable doorbells that you can put in his room so he can hear it? Do you pay the contract on the iphone? If so then take it away from him at night so he won't be tempted to be on it?
  7. There are a lot of McGann brothers. I get them confused.
  8. Go on strike and don't do anything for him.....meals, washing, shopping etc. He sounds like my brothers
  9. There should be a section for curtain twitching on here.
  10. Next time hand it up from the wall in some netting or maybe a macrame plant holder so the foxes don't get it.
  11. Hard to get hold of Bromptons. There is a waiting list and they are verrrrry expensive.

Nothing like ED Warehouse - much better. Look at the link I posted above. They are open late on Thursdays until 10 pm.
  13. Like a car theft only happens in East Dulwich.......that sounds like a stolen to order job.
  14. Yes, that was Sean.
  15. Completely agree with Asset.
  16. What are scampi fries? Freshly cooked things or in packets?
  17. Eater81 is a Negative Nancy. Don't listen to him. All his posts are similar if you look back at his posting history.

I can see that your mum would be upset, especially if she didn't have good treatment. Are you going to contact the hospital about the letter. I was thinking I might write back without putting a stamp on the letter and say sorry, no, totally brassic.

  20. I don't know that it is normal. First time I have received anything.
  21. Why don't you try the new agent - Truepennys or Pickwick as they are sole traders I believe. Pickwick's has had quite few reccs.
  22. I was bemused but not horrified. It is a great hospital. There are probably people out there who can afford to make a donation and this might jog them to do so. It's kind of like when people run the London Marathon to raise money for hospital special baby units after their child has been saved. Perhaps Kings has just employed a new fund raising manager who is very keen.
  23. I got the same letter. Maybe sent to recent patients in the hope that they are rolling in spare dosh.
  24. You have to be 21 to gamble/go in casinos and to drink alcohol in Vegas.
  25. I would absolutely trust Kamila's instinct about these dogs. She knows a lot about dogs and has looked after my dog many times. I hope she can find out where they live and that a vet can look at the dogs. I would be tempted to stage an intervention and kidnap them and take them to a vet!
