I have 4 pairs. They are great at relieving lower back pain, hip pain and any pain in the foot area. I know lots of people with Fitflops and they all say the same. They are more comfortable than bare feet and particularly good if you have to stand up a lot, cooking or whatever.
You could also go to the Melange chocolate shop in Bellenden Road. Only a short walk from ED station. Isabelle, the owner is charming and you can taste her homemade chocolates and then buy some. She is also offering ice cream and sorbets, coffee and hot chocolate and you can sit outside

I had a neutered male (he had been neutered since young) who was terrorised by a local tom. It was dreadful to see. The tom would chase my cat in from the back garden and up the stairs, then the tom would grab him and bite him. Eventually he disappeared. It was a very traumatic time. I sympathise.

The whole park is used by children, not just that area. In my opinion, the fences are far too low to stop dogs going in. They should have made them higher. The signs saying no dogs are actually not enforceable, they are merely put there in the hope that you keep dogs out. Like polite notice signs.

Or if you do the Covent Garden thing first you can get the 176 to the Strand/Aldwych.

What a scary experience. You could have come to serious harm. They were a pack. Anybody who says don't worry about it is more bonkers than the perpetrator. It is a crime and the police now take things like that more seriously than they used to. Something similar happened to me once, a few years ago, in a woods (not Peckham Rye Park), but it was one person only. I didn't have my mobile with me. I found a woman who did and she called the police and within about 5 minutes there were loads of cops and a helicopter circling overhead. Sadly they didn't catch him. I believe it is now thought that flashers can go on to commit more serious sexual crimes.
It depends on the cat. I had one go missing once - she had been spayed - and she only went to the next street and was found in someone's garden. I had put up notices and they called me. After that she never disappeared again except to go to a neighbour's two doors down to visit when I was at work. Some cats are more inquisitive than others. They are more likely to get injured at night by traffic. Usually you keep cats in for a couple of weeks after moving in and hope everything works out after that.
Went there a couple of days ago. The awning wasn't down so it looked as if it was closed from a distance but that is because of scaffolding outside. They always close during the holidays and for a couple of weeks during the summer. But their food is lovely. I hope Fi comes back soon.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere too near a pub if you value your sleep. I would also nix living near a fast food restaurant, or any restaurant for that matter. Garbage equals more rats. Also check out the street beforehand to see if it is a cut through with speed bumps if you would be sleeping at the front of the house. The roads off Coplestone and Oglander are good. Everthorpe, Danby, Muschamp, Marsden.....but they are not strictly SE22. But they are close to ED station and a quick walk to Peckham Rye. Or you could go further into Peckham, off Bellenden Road going to PR station.
