  1. Yes Sean the Police do make mistakes, and the guys who were nicked in the raid may well of been innocent on this occasion and at the time they were allegedly tortured they were indeed only suspects. But you can bet your bottom dollar that they probably were drug dealers with previous convictions. And ok, so they may have served some negligible amount of time in the clink for those crimes. But you've got to admit, it puts a smile on your face to read the blighters suffered a bit on this occasion.
  2. Drug dealing is also wrong. It's a blight on our society and the drug dealers just laugh at the pathetic sentences they get whilst they wreak havoc on our society. I'd have pulled their nails out with pliers as well.
  3. So the Police have used water torture techniques on a group of drug dealers. More power to their elbow I say.
  4. Has anyone ever hired a VW camper van to tour in? I'm thinking of giving it a go with my two teenagers. I was thinking of a week, but I'm a bit concerned it may be too small. I've been quoted around ?800.

  6. I'd be interested to know too as I want to switch from Orange to Sky due to the Special offer Sky has at the moment.
  7. Of course Adriana. I wasn't ruling her out. I also think Artie's wife is particularly hot.
  8. I think it worked in Star Trek quite well, but this could be attributed to the distance between the original series and the new film, as well as good quality acting. Plus I don't think the original star trek characters had the same depth as Tony Soprano's character. It would be a tough call for any young character actor to pull off. Not forgetting the same trick would have to be performed on Paulie, Sylv, Carmella etc.
  9. You're right mate. We don't want to go round trying to decipher the definition of a chav....that would be shallow ;-)
  10. I did also read somewhere that David Chase had considered a film about the young Tony but the problem was finding someone to play the part. Tony is such a big personality and force of nature that it would be very difficult to find a convincing actor to play him as a young up and coming wiseguy.
  11. I'm not sure what a 'superchav' is, as described by Mike, but I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't be seen dead inside a charity shop let alone stealing from outside of one.
  12. I too heard it may involve Tony's dad, Johnny Boy and Uncle Junior. I suppose it could also show Tony as an up and coming made guy and then how he got to be a capo.James Gandolfini would have to lose a hell of a lot of weight to carry this off though. With regards to Paulie, he always had some of the best lines and he was probably the most loyal to Tony in the end (along with Sylvio).
  13. I overheard somewhere last week that The is a Sopranos movie being made. Anyone else heard about this?
  14. I'd write on the letter that you have a willing witness. i'd even go as far as to request any CCTV footage to prove the time you parked. I'm not sure if you are entitled to this, but it's worth a try just in case.
  15. I think the problem is that unless the ticket warden observed the time you parked how does he know you parked at 4.10pm and not 3.50pm? It sounds like he has made an assumption. Read the ticket carefully to ensure you have not received it for any other reason. Then contest it. Quite a igh percentage of parking tickets can be overturned if contested. Do you have a receipt from the shop you visited? This should have a time issued on it and may strengthen your case.
  16. Actually Mike I'd describe observing people in a pub and wondering about their occupations 'inquisitive' rather then 'shallow'.
  17. I must confess that's a strange response. Am I correct in stating that most patrons of the Castle are blue collar and East Dulwich residents?
  18. Obviously someone is sponsoring the BNP with large amounts of cash. I've never known them to be able to afford to do this kind of thing before.
  19. Apparently these youth do this regularly and it's been reported. The Police are following all leads.
  20. The start of Jackie Brown with a long shot of Pam Grier looking fine as she walks along to the sound of 'Across 110th street' by Bobby Womack. Great tune...great woman...great opening.
  21. He obviously thought you'd be interested in a meatfeast.
  22. When I go running on the embankment I tend to compete with other runners. When I overtake I find it's useful to look back in order to gauge distances and pace accurately in order to stay in front. However, I must be careful not to lose balance or focus by looking back too much.
