Definitely a contender for Mum of the year. Although my babymother comes a close second...

Great stuff. That's 50 yards from my door- although I do tend to head to the Hermit's Cave more. Be sure to try the Bear and Caravaggio. Whilst I accept the accusation that I am prone to hyperbole in promoting the merits of SE5 I cannot recommend these too strongly. How come your work colleagues go to the Munky? Do you work at the Art College? I have never managed to get colleagues down to Camberwell. Will try harder..

Litter lout of the year Sean? No prizes for naming the numpty of the year.. but he also wins wedding of the year just because he got a haircut and played the guitar..

So we agree Sainsbury's started it and now Foxtons have taken it up another notch...

Was that because it was a Camberwell thread?!

I think that those who doubt the efficacy of these modern baby transporters are out of touch with the noughties urbanite unmarried nuclear family. We have got a bugaboo, a Phil and Ted two seater and a lightweight McClaren stroller. Total cost in excess of ?1,000. My car is a 1990 VW golf MK2 - ?800. Consequently the buggies get the garage and the car sits on our driveway.

Me too. If you're not living on the edge then you're taking up too much room. I'm going to the Buckle a week on Sunday for pre-xmas drinks. Should end up in the Funky Munky. See you there no doubt..

Have you tried posting on http://www.se5forum.org or http://www.camberwellonline.co.uk Bromar Road is in Camberwell after all...

There's a rose in a velvet glove, and the eagle flies with the Dove. If you live in SE5 It's Camberwell you love. Maybe you're right. I'm very young.

It's not nearer to Camberwell it is in Camberwell. I don't know Nutty maybe you live near East Dulwich Station and try to claim you live in East Dulwich in the same way that Hoopers does. Is this shared post code shame clouding your judgement? I don't know why anyone would think that pretending to live somewhere they don't is in any way impressive. Luther Van Dross said 'If you can't be with the one you love then love the one your with.' There is plenty to love about Camberwell especially Hoopers!

Ivanhoe Road, East Dulwich, SE5

When the East London Line extension happens Clapham will be one stop from Denmark Hill. Denmark Hill is in Camberwell but it does have a good relationship with East Dulwich being the location of one of ED's most important train stations. In the future all of ED and Clapham will meet in the Phoenix for a pint of Pimms.

Already a number of threads about this pub that moved from Camberwell to East Dulwich in the blink of an eye. I am currently awaiting responses on this thread... http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,24937,51741#msg-51741 Alan Dale Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > So give us an update- how's > business? > > Has the 'ED' location paid off? > > Are you serving food yet? > > Do you now open 11-11 or even later perhaps? > > And do you take credit cards or have a cash > machine or both or neither? > > What about the flat development- how is that > going? > > Can you give us some reassurance that your > sideline in property development will not be to > the long term detriment of the pub? > > Perhaps you could give us a guarantee that you > will never put in a change of use application to > convert the pub itself to a residential unit of > some description... No response? Walked past on Sunday afternoon and guess what? Closed. That's what.

Who cycles to work from East Dulwich?
Alan Dale replied to willma's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I walk to work from Camberwell along ther no.23 cycle route. It's very pleasant. -
I have signed this petition because I want Cafe Nero to stay. The best coffee bar locally is definitely House on Camberwell Church Street. It doubles as an art gallery.
-
Well it's metaphorical hara-kiri. It was an honourable self administered exit. Not just *Bob* no we can all go to Zipolite. Imagine the impact on house prices.. I'd like to book that taxi driver for my Grandad this year. It would save the Queen a stamp and give my mum a nice windfall and a well earned brake from the cantankerous old curmudgeon.
-
Oh deat. I post from 'Camberhell'. Anyway - anyone else got any good death stories. I liked the one about *Bob*'s mate's hare kare. Has there been an update on that guy who did a Reggie Perrin. I hope to do that one day. I have an escape fund and everything. I'm going to go and live in Zipolite for 5 years tehn come back and feign memory loss. I'll meet you there if you want..

Di you know him too then Asset?

Michael Palaeologus' post about email prompted a search of my folders and the best I could find was someone with testicular cancer that has been succesfully treated. Pathetic. Why did your mate commit suicide?
