  2. CitiznED- I accept the similarities between my abrasive online persona and such celebrity cnuts as Clarkson and Littlejohn but I can assure you my politics are quite different. Madworld- I'm sure Christmas is fun at yours. Enjoy your hobby and don't feel you have to defend your beliefs from sceptics such as myself.
  3. As long as you can charge ?50 an hour I'm sure you'll maintain the will to 'educate'.

Why oh why would I work with those cnuts? They preach slightly different therapies. Mine is more of a 'get your chin up and get on with it' stance than it is to look for Islamic scapegoats or complain about the M4 bus lane.
  5. ...That was Nena reminding us of the fragility of the stand-off during the cold war. Not sure what Elvis would have made of that. This is UB40 with I can't help falling in love with you from my favourite film and forerunner to Channel 4's Big Brother, Sliver..
  6. Do you think I could charge ?50 an hour for telling people to pull themselves together, grow up, stop whingeing or just get on with it? Come to Alan Dale's Tough Love Clinic- I'll tell you what you already know but are too soft on yourself to admit. And it seems that if I charge you enough you might even take my advice.
  7. ... right after Fine Young Cannibals...
  8. There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do to make me play that today. Unless you can explain the link. For now it's Celine Deon with My Heart Will Go On...
  9. .....Sure- I just played Good Year for the Roses and I've got a couple of Shakin' Stevens and Cliff Richard songs to do first...
  10. ...that was Calling Elvis by Mark Knopfler's Dire Straits. Smashing. This is Bonnie Tyler with Total Eclipse of the Heart....
  11. The King has been dead for thirty years today. I'm hosting an Elvis day on the radio station at my local old folks home. Any requests or dedications?
  12. Yeah Tom. Get off the fence.
  13. Leave it out love you're putting me off my stroke...

I'm really looking for a pub equally accessible by bus from SE5 8SG and SE19 2LH that requires the minimum combined bus travel. There's the gauntlet. Anyone? We will enjoy it, we have both given up smoking and I do all my gambling on Betfair these days. That's progress.
  15. Think it's going to be the Plough- does the 176 go past the Plough? What about the 40?
  16. I think that as the crow flies the village is equidistant between my place and his- but it's a bit tame/nice really. Not the right environment for two scally lads from Grimsby to get their beer on.
  17. Agreed. It's exceptional. They should open a chain of them.

Whilst I accept the newspaper may be recycled (although in this case it attracted no further interest between being discarded at Elephant and my leaving the bus at London Bridge) it is most likely that the paper it is printed on will not be recycled.
  20. Thanks Keef. I will track the route of the 176 for the best spot.

It wasn't that bad really. I am afraid I can't tell you where I was sitting because I want to be able to throw away newspapers and laugh at fat ladies who fall over without being held accountable. I got on in Camberwell and I have a prosthetic left arm. Hope that helps.

How could I be sure of that? Nice to share a bus with you Sean. I thought that was you but thought it couldn't be because you ditched your Guardian and didn't ensure it got recycled. It was all over the top deck by the time I got to London Bridge. Not such a good guy after all!
  23. Thanks both. I need to get on a bus at Goose Green End. I think we will explore a few places over the coming months but the Plough seems like an ok place to start.
  24. I need to find a mutually convenient location to drink with a mate from Crystal Palace. Which and where is the best pub in the area around the Southern End of Lordship Lane?
  25. Well said. They're hear now it's time to give them a break or at least not single them out for harsh treatment but just moan about agents in general. Do they have to pay for all this advertising they get on here? It seems being infamous enough to be talked about is a good way to become a household name in estate agency.
