I think the reason a lot of managers who've worked with Defoe haven't given him enough starts is that he doesn't do much in build up play. His work is done in the last third. You'll rarely get an assist from him but he knows where the goal is that's for sure. Sad to see him go. Been a great servant to our club and has never moaned when he wasn't playing, he just worked harder to get back in. Over the two legs Konoplyanka impressed me enormously. Literally no one could get anywhere near him. If he gets a big move and I'm certain he will he'll be a huge asset to any club that buys him. A fantastic player.

Realistically, I think it will take a good two to three years to rebuild Man Utd. I'm not sure if Moyes will be given that time. Ferguson was but we are living in different times. It's taken Liverpool a number of years to get back to the club they were, though they've won nothing yet I'm sure it won't be long before they do.

I don't hate Man Utd my venom is saved for that club down the road. Rooney's contract made perfect sense to me. You might begrudge him it but that is the going rate for a top player these days. I wish Spurs had given Bale whatever he wanted to stay. We'd probably be ten or 12 points better off if he'd stayed. Unfortunately until we have a stadium that brings in the revenue as big as Old Trafford or the Effeminates we will not be able to compete on the same financial footing as the big boys.

Cleverly, how the hell does he get anywhere near the England side let alone Man Utd's first team. Completely non-existent tonight. This is a very poor Man Utd side. Admittedly, the same side that pissed the title last season which just goes to show what an excellent manager SAF was and he knew when to get out too. I actually feel sorry for David Moyes. He has one hell of a job on his hands and there needs to be a lot of investment in top class players next season at your club.
