  1. "I heard a rumour about Oztuma." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26550146
  2. Nah! Ya fucked. Lived up that end for many moons and it has always been shite.
  3. Agreed. Especially that first one where he went through five or six Bayern defenders. The boy has definitely got talent.
  4. Mac might have a point though. I can't see Ozil on current form putting a foot in in the heat of a London derby, can you? I reckon Wenger is taking him out of the side for a bit. Probably needs a rest. Poor chap.
  5. "You'd have to be slightly dim to take everything she says seriously 100% of the time." But people do. Never underestimate how slightly dim the general populace is. Katie Hopkins is a vile and poisonous cunt who is paid to be controversial. I wouldn't piss on her if she was on fire. Is that controversial enough for you? Anyway, we've gone right off topic here and I'm surprised this thread hasn't been whooshed to The Lounge. So, The Draft House... still closed, nothing much happening. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
  6. The signal has always been lousy around there.
  7. Seven-Up or a good lemonade. Tonic water for a gin or vodka.
  8. Tuesday 11th March 2014 Atl?tico Madrid 2 Milan 0 Bayern Munich 3 Arsenal 1 Wednesday 12th March 2014 Barcelona 2 Man City 1 PSG 4 Bayer Leverkusen 1
  9. Top four went when we lost to Norwich away. Agree though, he's a dead man walking.
  10. Try The Castle on Crystal Palace Road.
  11. He probably should have kept that thought private. You can lose a dressing room with a comment like that. Still, he's young and learning on the job. The way the team capitulated after playing so well for an hour showed that he had made a good point. There aren't enough strong characters in the team. The ride home on the coach would have been interesting.
  12. You're not from round here are yer.
  13. Bugger Bognor!
  14. Comedy defending by Spurs. We were doing OK until Vertongen's stupid blunder let Chelsea in for the first and then a ridiculous decision by the ref gives 'em a penalty and it's game over. No excuses for the other two goals either. Dreadful mistakes by Walker and Sandro and it's four-nil. We handed that win to Chelsea on a plate. Here you go, have some more goals. Typical bloody Tottenham. Embarrassing.
  15. I've lived in and around Dulwich all my life. It's all Dulwich to me. Dulwich Picture House is what it should be and I don't see why people have a problem with not having the East in the title. It just doesn't have the right ring about it. The local football team isn't called East Dulwich Hamlet is it. Get a grip people.
  16. Or Nick Lowe.
  17. When I was a kid we used have a Corona van come down our street. We'd buy bottles of lemonade and cream soda from it and when he returned the following week you got money back on your empties if I remember rightly. Anyone else remember the Corona vans?

I didn't say that. And keg is shit. I stand by that.
  19. Festivals ain't by bag these days Rolo but thanks all the same.
  20. They're off to the SXSW Festival next week in Austin, Texas so when they get back I'll sort out a gig we can go to. Mind you, don't think they'll be doing the Tulse Hill Tavern or the Queen's Head anymore now unless it's hush hush as they're getting quite a bit of press and airplay now and the gigs are rammed to the rafters now the trendies have latched onto them.

What Quids said. By and large I agree with that word for word.
  22. More Friday fun.

Yes! This. If you've never seen them live then you must. A Slide-In at the Queen's Head is something to behold. For me the best band to come out of England in the last 20 years. The album is also a corker. I love 'em.

Could have used that description for Steve Perryman back in the day. A born leader. One cap for England and that towards the end of his career.
