  1. This is a little more reassuring. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/dulwichhamlet/news/saturday-at-home-to-bury-town-will-play-1152976.html
  2. He should have a red card for that fooking ponytail. Ponce.
  3. When I used to go there as a kid it was the biggest amateur ground in the country with a gate that could hold over 20,000. It was a bloody shame when they knocked the old stadium down. Damn you Sainsburys.
  4. I always liked their beer though I've not been in a Sam Smith's pub for over 20 years so they've obviously taken a nosedive since I last imbibed in one. What a shame. I've decided not to take the trip uptown today because of the lousy weather and tube strike. Maybe tomorrow and I can check out a few of the old pubs while I'm at it, including the Sam Smith ones I've mentioned.
  5. I heard a rumour, About Oztumer, He came from Turkey, To bring us joy. He?s 5 foot 2, He?s pink & blue Please don?t take my Erhan away.
  6. What, like this. http://www.craftcompany.co.uk/palette-knife-by-pme-4-5-rounded-angled-blade.html
  7. And a hat-trick from our wonderful number 10. See you on Saturday. Pink & Blue army.
  8. Yeah! What's so wrong with SS pubs? ;-) Another Sam Smith pub I used to enjoy a few ales in at lunchtime was the Cittie Of York on High Holborn with its long bar and old booths. If it is still there and I sincerely hope it is and hasn't been turned into an Abbey National or something then it's worth checking out. Actually, sod it. I think may get my arse out of the house today and take a wander around the old haunts and check 'em all out for myself. It's been a very long time.
  9. Always a pleasure, never a chore.
  10. Oh, look, another twat. You fuck off an all.
  11. Pah! Got you bang to rights. Tosser!
  12. My personal favourite shred.
  13. Facking hell! Talk about a knee jerk reaction. I have to say I'm astonished by that decision.
  14. Good call on The Cheshire Cheese, Quids. I really must take a walk around some of my old haunts soon as I'm sure the area has changed quite a bit since I worked there but I always found that the beauty of working in Holborn is that you're not that far away from Covent Garden and even better, Soho.
  15. Utter bollocks of course. It's quite possible the same things could have been said a century ago. Complete tosh. And, by the way, who facking cares?
  16. Err... oh, dear. I second Leather Lane market and a little gem of a pub down an ally way off Hatton Garden is The Mitre. http://www.timeout.com/london/bars-and-pubs/ye-olde-mitre-tavern
  17. I loved working in Holborn though it is 20 years since I did. You being at the Kingsway end you're not far from the Princess Louise. Not been in there for a very long time but it's beautiful old pub so you really should give a whirl.

  20. It's a new wine merchant specialising in French wine run by Bruno and Lou and the very best of luck to them. Wine tastings starting today and on Saturday and Sunday too. I've already got my eye on some gorgeous cognac. Get in. Fill yer boots.
  21. Great footage from Pathe News of Dulwich Village 1940. H VILLAGE aka GO TO IT
  22. We?re the famous Dulwich Hamlet, and we look like Tuscany! Tuscany! Tuscany! etc
  23. Never mind that... Man City are on another level to everyone else at the moment. The were absolutely brilliant and played superb football last night. OK a couple of decisions didn't go Spurs way and Rose should never have been sent off but I really don't think the score line would have been much different. I wonder if Chelsea will park the bus against them. They may have too.
  24. Some excellent songs too. All together now - "We hate a Tooting & Mitcham..."
  25. Yep, I've been to the last couple of home games and I hadn't been since I was about 12. I'm hooked now and gonna be a regular too. Pink and blue army!
