  1. Dive Bar? Yeah, been in there a couple of times but don't really remember much about it. In fact I've often ended up in quite a few dive bars on any given night out in Soho. Gerry's for example. I like the French House though. And I like The Ship too. In fact in the old days (old fart alert)... You'd start your night out in The Ship on Wardour Street, pop next door to the Marquee Club to catch a band and try and get Lemmy off the fecking pinball machine then stagger over the road to the St Moritz Club. How you got home is anybody's guess.

  3. Oh how I have missed thee.
  4. Yeah, that as well.

Usually we leave it to the last minute and get off to a bad start. We dropped points in our first three games last season and because Le Arse came so good towards the end of the season, that and those three games at the beginning probably cost us 4th spot. Hopefully, that won't happen this time around.
  6. Hmm... People say that about Wenger at the beginning of every season now. It's getting a bit like every time the Rolling Stones tour and the usual lazy journalists headline "Could This Be The Last Time?" bollocks. Mind you there's hardly been a flurry of activity in the transfer market so far and with their nearest rivals down the road already spending ?60 million they might be looking a bit envious at our spending. Are Gooners are bit worried about this? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2394585/Arsenal-crisis-brewing-just-11-senior-players-fit-opener-Aston-Villa.html
  7. Glad you enjoyed your evening MrBen. I was at the Euro '96 game against Scotland when Gazza scored that fantastic goal and the atmosphere was amazing. The Scottish support is always a sight and sound to behold. They never stopped singing and getting behind their team. One of the best experiences I've had at a football match. Certainly the best at an international.
  8. Rumours in Covent Garden and The Stoned Crow in Streatham circa '78 - '80.
  9. If Liverpool can continue to show the form that did at the end of last season they will be right up there Otta.
  10. It's never friendly against the Scots. Great competitive match. We should play them more often. Very happy for Lambert who's a quality player.
  11. And lest we forget - Inside 72.
  12. The Doors. A bar on the Greek island of Anti-Paros. It rocked and it rolled.
  13. Whether you ever saw or not saw this little fella play and I remember being mesmerised by his skills as a kid then watch this. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it this morning.
  14. I think Rooney typifies the modern spoiled brat player that tarnishes the game these days. Having said that though having given eight years to Man Utd perhaps he needs a new challenge to keep himself motivated.
  15. So England v Scotland tonight. I remember when this game really used to mean something especially during the Home internationals. Where are the players of Denis Law, Jimmy Johnstone, Jim Baxter, Kenny Dalglish and Steve Archibald in the Scottish game these days? Our Under 21s were excellent last night in a six-nil victory over the old enemy and can the big boys do something similar? I'm going for an England two-nil victory. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23548412
  16. Well it looks like you've got the winger to put the crosses in for the big lad up front. Hoof!
  17. West Ham 0 Cardiff City 8. That's the only one I'm prepared to divulge at the moment.
  18. I'd say no. Certainly not. Not if they're planning for Christmas.
  19. Sterling Dosh. Like it Quids.

Have they gone? I hope so. I didn't care for them much either and I think they are what put a lot of people off going in there in the first place. Best of luck Nadia. Keep up the good work.
  22. You're fat. Don't try and sugarcoat it coz you'll eat that too. ;-)
  23. I think with change of management at Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea and extra money from the Premiership this year we've decided to fully back our manager in the transfer market. In AVB we trust. COYS!
  24. Yep! Joe Louis is a billionaire. ;-)
  25. Fair enough. Should put the kibosh on Meds gamesmanship.
