  1. Fuck off!
  2. I'll be taking in both games at The George Canning with my niece who is Liverpool daft. They've got a new big screen and they'll be a Barbie on the go. COYS!

  4. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- How late it was how late - James Kelman. You're the only man I (don't) know that has read James Kelman and bloody hell some of his books are bleak and though I don't think I've read that one, though it is entirely possible I have because it's a long time since I've read his stuff... I stopped after A Disaffection, so I'll add that to the list. He's a damned good writer though.
  5. Yeah, who'd be a Gooner eh? ;-)
  6. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "One way or another doesn't every club try to buy > success" > > nope. Why not? A club is a company like any other. You have to invest in that business in the hope that you can be successful. Same thing different shit innit.
  7. One way or another doesn't every club try to buy success? We've done good business before the imminent Bale sale without having to pay inflated prices. Ok so we've spent a lot of money but I think that has been long overdue. I'm sure there are some envious glances from other clubs especially that lot down the road who we're playing on Sunday. AVB is being fully backed by the board and is building a team with the money he's been given. Spending money is one thing being successful is another. I'm enjoying the ride so far. Was at the Lane last night and last Sunday. So far so good. Played 4 Won 4 Drawn 0 Lost 0 GF 10 GA 0. It's a good start but the real test comes on Sunday at the Effeminates.
  8. You can PM me if you want and see if we can work something out.
  9. Spot on Matthew.
  10. Otta Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Looks like Chelsea have snatched Willian from under Spurs' noses. I hope he breaks his leg and is out for the season. And it's long overdue we gave Chelsea a bloody good hiding. Want to wipe that smirk off of Mounrinho's smug gob.
  11. Gareth who? Townsend's ready to step up. http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/dinamo-tbilisi-0-tottenham-hotspur-5-all-goals/
  12. I still remember the country's euphoria the last time we won the World Cup though I was very upset that my childhood hero Jimmy Greaves missed the match through injury. I'd be enormously happy if we won it again. But if in the unlikely event that Tottenham Hotspur won a treble I'd probably come in my pants.
  13. Interesting article here on Spurs spending. The media tells you we've spent ?60 million but our actual net spend is ?22 million. http://www.spurs-web.com/spurs-news/spurs-spent-22m-net-transfer-window/
  14. You don't miss your water until your well runs dry. Gooners calling for Arsene Wenger's head is a bloody nonsense. Spending shitloads of money does not guarantee success. Obviously, they'll be Arsenal fans casting envious eyes at us lot down the road with the amount of money we've been spending on players recently but in the 18 years that Arsene Wenger has been in charge of the Goons they've finished above us every season and won more silverware. It is bloody galling for us every season but it's a fact. I hope he gets the sack. ;-)
  15. And not to forget the Uplands Caf?. Still plenty of choice but I agree ?12 for a burger around here has become the norm and it's gotten a bit silly. Still, it's sad that Callows has had to move but at least they'll still be local.

I got plenty of banter when Le Arse pipped us to fourth (again). I'm indulging myself in a little schadenfreude.
  18. Certainly not. They could be out in the qualifiers. Should have spent some money Arsene.
  19. Arsenal... Champions League You're having a laugh.
  20. First day of the season. First chance to laugh at Arsenal. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.... ad nauseum.
  21. Yeah, as The Dame would say "Ch ch ch changes, turn and face the strange ch ch changes." I don't see the point in changing your username unless there is some ulterior motive.
