Never mind, Thursday > night football beckons. Nope. No nerves touched. I suppose we could have called the Wanderers RVP FC a couple of seasons ago but our sense of humour isn't as bad as yours obviously is. I'm reasonably happy with Thursday night football thanks. Some so called bigger clubs haven't qualified for a European competition but we have. I'll be even happier if we win it.
  2. And The Great Exhibition has Laines for ?2.70 a pint too.

  5. Seven ways to cheer up Arsenal fans. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/the-rundown/seven-ways-cheer-arsenal-fans-205801964.html
  6. Bellenden Road area accepted. I'm specifically talking about Rye Lane. You wouldn't purchase your meat from there now would you DC?
  7. Sue wrote - > > Are you complaining also because the upstairs of > buses isn't a thick blanket of smoke with people > coughing their lungs up any more? Obviously, you didn't take in the last line of my previous post did you. "And before you ask I'm no advocating bringing back smoking in pubs, restaurants and offices either." I'm not advocating the return to smoking in public places at all. I'm sure once this good weather finishes and we go back to cold wet and windy you won't be complaining when we have to pop out for a cough and a drag because you'll be back inside again and not drinking al-fresco.
  8. I'll wager most of the people who have recently moved to Peckham don't shop there. They shop in East Dulwich.
  9. This! What Quids said with knobs on. ???? 10. Best of luck Marmora Man. Happy you enjoyed your time here. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time there. You couldn't move to a more beautiful part of England. I'm almost envious.
  11. I never said it was. I just get very fed up with non-smokers constant whining. It's not like I sit around deliberately blowing smoke in people's faces. They've got the inside now they want the outside too. They won't be outside when it's cold, wet and windy but I and many others will be. And before you ask I'm no advocating bringing back smoking in pubs, restaurants and offices either.
  12. It wasn't directed at you KK in particular. Nothing personal.
  13. Non-smokers die everyday. Deal with it. Go back inside if you don't like our smoke. And before you call us smokers selfish social pariahs. You made those rules. You made us smoke outside in all weathers. We don't have a choice. You do.
  14. Not in my bone china or me Tottenham mug.
  15. They upset quite a few of the big boys last season Maxxi. Arsenal and Chelsea spring to mind. They play good football, a proper passing game. They certainly out-passed us at White Hart Lane for about 50 minutes last season before we finally got out act together and stuffed 'em.
  16. Indeed. Mr B. I was given one. Wore it once and felt like a twat. I still have it but it will remain at the bottom of the draw unless you or the OP want it of course.
  17. Aww... don't you want to watch Man City v Bayern Munich on BT Sport?
  18. Did more or less the same. I started drinking it coz Keef drank it.
  19. Jessie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Yeah, I was his publicist. How I kept him happy > during a signing. Really? My mate does his PR. What a coincidence.
  20. Jessie Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I spent a whole evening buying Lemmy Jack Daniels > one night, and Marlboro Reds. You mug. He buys his rounds you know. I've drunk with him on a few occasions too. Good bloke. Loves a bit of a moan though but a good egg.
  21. Jeez! I remember when the only place you could get it in London was the very first Oddbins that opened up on Farringdon Road. They didn't sell it in pubs, you couldn't get it anywhere else. It was around ?2.50 a bottle then (1974). About a pound more than an ordinary bourbon or whisky or whiskey. I thought that was expensive but I loved it and still do. I think I did a hell of a lot to advertise its dark smokey pleasures over here. So you damned well thank me, Keith Richards and Lemmy that we made it so damned popular because we were guzzling it before you were a twinkle in yer dad's eye. So there! Feckers! Next time go somewhere else to buy it. Thirty quid is ridiculous.
  22. OK OK OK.... I admit it. I'm in denial. I just want him to stay and really hope he does. That is all.
