  1. Done and predictions in. One question - is it not possible to see what others have predicted?
  2. I can't see Levy agreeing to those terms. Madrid still owe Spurs for Modric. They can't afford Bale. Simple as that.
  3. Yeah, I heard quite a few of the old school punters from The Rose got barred and have since decamped to The Herne. I'm not a regular at either pub though. Actually, I need to have a butchers at The Herne as I haven't been in since the management changed. I expect it's still like a fecking cr?che at the weekends though.
  4. That's right. The Dolphin fish shop is to become a kebab shop. I hope the rumours aren't true about The Rose. It's always sad when another pub closes and I don't agree about it's poor location. It's on a main road, not a back street. The staff are great and the back garden is a particularly nice spot to sit in during the summer months and it has a great inside space too. Just not enough punters.
  5. Oh I do Mr Medic. I've been waiting. 30.15.

How very dare you! I bet you're no spring chicken either Mr Medic. Though I have to admit you're absolutely right. I am a bit of a Luddite so the system we used last season would suit me perfectly. Edited because "I'm getting on a bit."
  7. Not mate. Do yourself a favour. Support Tottenham Hotspur. We always strive to play entertaining attacking football. Quids may tell you we've got ideas above our station but we're are definitely going places and on the up with or without Gareth Bale. Seriously, West Ham are crap. Come on you Spurs!
  8. There's no way Fabregas is leaving Barcelona. I just can't see it myself. Whether Bale stays at Spurs or not (and of course I hope he stays) we're in a win win situation. We've already spent ?50 million on three top classes players. If he goes it's a hell of a lot of money in the bank to invest at the club. If stays, and I think he will, we've still got a top class player.
  9. A temple? It was the Palace Of Peace for about year or so in '73 '74. It's been an office building for more than a decade or two. Where have you been for the last 40 years?
  10. Hoopers closed for good on Xmas Day and it certainly wasn't spit and sawdust. It was a very nice pub with a great selection of ales and a fairly good selection of wine. There was good music there and the comedy nights were fun. Damn that neighbour. I miss it.
  11. Folk covers. ;-)

Never mind, Thursday > night football beckons. Nope. No nerves touched. I suppose we could have called the Wanderers RVP FC a couple of seasons ago but our sense of humour isn't as bad as yours obviously is. I'm reasonably happy with Thursday night football thanks. Some so called bigger clubs haven't qualified for a European competition but we have. I'll be even happier if we win it.
  13. And The Great Exhibition has Laines for ?2.70 a pint too.

  16. Seven ways to cheer up Arsenal fans. http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/the-rundown/seven-ways-cheer-arsenal-fans-205801964.html
  17. Bellenden Road area accepted. I'm specifically talking about Rye Lane. You wouldn't purchase your meat from there now would you DC?
  18. Sue wrote - > > Are you complaining also because the upstairs of > buses isn't a thick blanket of smoke with people > coughing their lungs up any more? Obviously, you didn't take in the last line of my previous post did you. "And before you ask I'm no advocating bringing back smoking in pubs, restaurants and offices either." I'm not advocating the return to smoking in public places at all. I'm sure once this good weather finishes and we go back to cold wet and windy you won't be complaining when we have to pop out for a cough and a drag because you'll be back inside again and not drinking al-fresco.
  19. I'll wager most of the people who have recently moved to Peckham don't shop there. They shop in East Dulwich.
  20. This! What Quids said with knobs on. ???? 21. Best of luck Marmora Man. Happy you enjoyed your time here. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time there. You couldn't move to a more beautiful part of England. I'm almost envious.
  22. I never said it was. I just get very fed up with non-smokers constant whining. It's not like I sit around deliberately blowing smoke in people's faces. They've got the inside now they want the outside too. They won't be outside when it's cold, wet and windy but I and many others will be. And before you ask I'm no advocating bringing back smoking in pubs, restaurants and offices either.
