That's right. The Dolphin fish shop is to become a kebab shop. I hope the rumours aren't true about The Rose. It's always sad when another pub closes and I don't agree about it's poor location. It's on a main road, not a back street. The staff are great and the back garden is a particularly nice spot to sit in during the summer months and it has a great inside space too. Just not enough punters.

There's no way Fabregas is leaving Barcelona. I just can't see it myself. Whether Bale stays at Spurs or not (and of course I hope he stays) we're in a win win situation. We've already spent ?50 million on three top classes players. If he goes it's a hell of a lot of money in the bank to invest at the club. If stays, and I think he will, we've still got a top class player.

Hoopers closed for good on Xmas Day and it certainly wasn't spit and sawdust. It was a very nice pub with a great selection of ales and a fairly good selection of wine. There was good music there and the comedy nights were fun. Damn that neighbour. I miss it.
