How the fuck do the Trust Fund Wurzels get to headline over Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. That is just so wrong.
-
Not half. Thanks for the heads up dbboy.

I've not eaten there in there for at least a couple of years but I'd like to give a shout out to my local chish n' fip shop (The Two Brothers) up the other end of the Lane which in my opinion in now the best locally. Certainly the biggest improvement because it used to be seriously bad before they took over. Used to think the one on Underhill was the best but they need to up their game again. Not saying they're bad but they used to be very good. Now, it's just good. And I speak as a man who likes his fish supper on a Friday night.

Hmmm... I love the Stones. It's a well known fact. Seen 'em loads of times. Obviously, only a little bit of the Glastonbury gig was shown on the gogglebox but I feel extraordinarily underwhelmed by that performance.
-
Hmm... well you see back then I never aligned myself to anything. I loved all different kinds of music (and still do) and I wasn't going to be shackled to some stupid gang mentality where you can only like certain things and dress a certain way. Obviously some people never learnt about the original punk attitude of individuality. Back then I took from everything. Once everyone starts dressing the same it's over. It's another uniform. I learnt that when I was very young with hippies and skinheads. Can't wait for the Stones tonight.

You've got the wrong thread Mr Quids.

Dearly me. Come on girls. Take a chill pill you two.

Classic. I last bought it at Christmas coz Keef was the cover. Sadly, its glory days are long gone. I'll take a peak now and then but I'm a Mojo man now. Oldus Fartus as they say in Ancient Rome. Thoroughly enjoyed Chic tonight.

Yeah...black fingers.

I did the same Mr B. Working just around the corner from Fleet Street I'd rush out every Wednesday and get down there and get 'em a day early too. NME read first cover to cover and crossword done in minutes after a good chuckle at The Lone Groover. Oooh! Chic are on. Have you read Nile's book? Bloody good it is too.

Blimey Mr B. You still read the NME? Respect. It was our weekly musical bible fix when I was younger so much younger than today.

Fuck me! The Lumineers... It's another Trust Fund Wurzels. I hate record companies. One band gets popular and so they want another ten of 'em. Cunts!
-
Oh gawd... the presenters look about 18.
-
Hopefully, he'll grow in to it.

The Stones better show the bit where Mick Taylor's in it or I'll feel fucking cheated.

I never went to Locale as I've always enjoyed Si Mangia on Forest Hill Road. Still, ribs n'beer I like the sound of that but the last time I ate spare ribs I broke a tooth so perhaps I won't go there either. ;-)

I thought Henderson improved a lot towards the end of the season. He's still only a young lad and plenty of scope for improvement but I suppose if the ego that is Brendan Rodgers doesn't fancy him and still sees him as one of Kenny Dalgish's expensive flops then that's it for him then.

I think the poor girl who lives in the house suffers mental problems and possibly a persecution complex. She may well have suffered a traumatic experience of some sort or indeed suffered racist and sexual abuse. I've no idea, it's only my opinion. She is certainly troubled. I've seen her around Forest Hill Road and she holds one of those little posters across her face as she walks the streets. Very sad.

Ha ha ha I giggled when I read that. Thank you Mr B. Indeed we did and how very perceptive of you. Not that far from the truth as Mr Steveo is as erudite as Mr Fry. Do join us for a sherbet sometime or if you find yourself in the near vicinity of the above bar pop in and enjoy the goods before it's too late. Chin chin old chap.

I had one of the Scotch eggs. Debloodylicious. They also do a deal with the nearby curry house. You get ten per-cent off your order. I think they may have had one lager on the go, possibly bottled but no one took a blind bit of notice of it. It was largely ignored and made to feel like a bad fart in a crowded lift.

Went to the pop up bar Beer Rebellion opposite Gipsy Hill station on Sunday (as recommended earlier in this thread by Voyageur) Marvellous selection of ales straight out of the barrel, cider too and over 50 different bottled beers. At ?3.20 a pint it is well worth the trip (via East Dulwich station). Be quick though. They may have to close in a couple of week unless they can renew the lease. http://www.lateknightsbrewery.co.uk/1/post/2013/05/join-the-beer-rebellion.html?fb_action_ids=10200106134351359&fb_action_types=og.likes&fb_source=other_multiline&action_object_map=%7B%2210200106134351359%22%3A121152664749656%7D&action_type_map=%7B%2210200106134351359%22%3A%22og.likes%22%7D&action_ref_map=%5B%5D
