I don't understand the Arsenal fans giving the Man Utd team such a poor reception on Sunday. They've waited for years to see the Premier League champions run out at the Emirates.

Bale has been brilliant all season and for me it's thoroughly deserved (not that I'm biased at all). But as RD has pointed out the writers' award takes in the whole of the season. I'd still plump for Bale but wouldn't be surprised if Van Pursie won it. There is no doubt he's had a fabulous season. Suarez, although he's had a great season too, he's blotted his copy book (again) of late and that rules him out for me.
