  1. They've just hailed a new pope in, which is quite ironic, because "Hailed Pope" is an anagram of paedophile. *Nicked from Popbitch.
  2. It gets drained about once every ten years.
  3. Deep joy! Quarter-finals here I come. Coupled with a Spurs win in Milan tonight and I'll be thinking we can go all the way.
  4. Heads.

Metro Man, you're having a fecking giraffe.
  8. Seventy quid for a fecking tee-shirt. I should bloody coco.
  9. I think Roy Keane started the "end game" scenario for Rooney with his comments before the game on the telly the other night. The tabloids have just followed suit. I don't think he's been the first name on the team sheet for a long time though. As for Bale I'm certain he will stay at least another season at Spurs if we get Champions League this year.
  10. ITV have been on the phone wanting exclusive > rights to the big local derby, Otta v Jah, but I > warned them it could get messy, especially around > throwing out time... With Liverpool hosting Tottenham on Sunday there is every chance that the two of us will be watching the match together in the pub. It could get very messy indeed. I'm off to White Hart Lane tonight for the game against Inter-Milan and hope we'll equip ourselves as well as the last time they visited the us (a 3-1 win for Spurs and Bale tore Maicon apart). Hopefully, we'll still be able to get a good result at Anfield on Sunday too.

  12. So, I expect all the Hammers and Gooners will be rooting for Spurs tomorrow night then?
  13. There is a joke thread but this isn't it.
  14. She'd left her husband for me *Bob*. Turned into a right old bunny boiler though.
  15. I had a girlfriend come over from Holland who booked herself into the Leigham Court Hotel about eight years ago. When I went to meet her she begged me to stay at my place because she said the hotel was nothing for than a knocking shop. Whether it's changed since then I don't know.
  16. You make some good points there Doc. I thought Modric bossed the midfield when he came on. Everything went through him and he scored a cracking goal - the little mercenary bastard. Van Purse-Strings was practically anonymous through and as for Roy Keane's comments before and after the game you'd never have thought he once played for Man Utd.

  18. I like being single and have been for two years now. I've gone solo for longer than that in the past and so it really doesn't bother me. I'm used to it. I'm comfortable in my own skin. I enjoy my solitude and my own company. I like my own space. I love the sense of irresponsibility it gives you. You get a great sense of freedom when you're unattached. You're free to do whatever you want with whoever and whenever you want and don't have to seek permission from your significant other to do so. You can be totally selfish and not feel guilty about it. There have been many times when I've been in relationships and felt kind of trapped. I get to feeling claustrophobic and I want break out and be on my own again and I've had to end things. Sometimes I've regretted that and sometimes it's been a relief to get away. I love women and really enjoy their company. I count myself very lucky to have so many of them as my mates. I just can't really see myself settling down with anyone in particular. It's never really happened for me in that respect. Maybe that's my tragedy... or maybe not.

  22. Talking of which I just so happen to be reading Peter Doggett's The Man Who Sold The World - David Bowie And The 1970s which is a song by song guide to his work. Brilliantly researched and a compelling page turner. A must read if you're a Bowie freak.
