She'd left her husband for me *Bob*. Turned into a right old bunny boiler though.

I had a girlfriend come over from Holland who booked herself into the Leigham Court Hotel about eight years ago. When I went to meet her she begged me to stay at my place because she said the hotel was nothing for than a knocking shop. Whether it's changed since then I don't know.

You make some good points there Doc. I thought Modric bossed the midfield when he came on. Everything went through him and he scored a cracking goal - the little mercenary bastard. Van Purse-Strings was practically anonymous through and as for Roy Keane's comments before and after the game you'd never have thought he once played for Man Utd.

I like being single and have been for two years now. I've gone solo for longer than that in the past and so it really doesn't bother me. I'm used to it. I'm comfortable in my own skin. I enjoy my solitude and my own company. I like my own space. I love the sense of irresponsibility it gives you. You get a great sense of freedom when you're unattached. You're free to do whatever you want with whoever and whenever you want and don't have to seek permission from your significant other to do so. You can be totally selfish and not feel guilty about it. There have been many times when I've been in relationships and felt kind of trapped. I get to feeling claustrophobic and I want break out and be on my own again and I've had to end things. Sometimes I've regretted that and sometimes it's been a relief to get away. I love women and really enjoy their company. I count myself very lucky to have so many of them as my mates. I just can't really see myself settling down with anyone in particular. It's never really happened for me in that respect. Maybe that's my tragedy... or maybe not.

Talking of which I just so happen to be reading Peter Doggett's The Man Who Sold The World - David Bowie And The 1970s which is a song by song guide to his work. Brilliantly researched and a compelling page turner. A must read if you're a Bowie freak.

Calling Rafa the interim manager in the first place was disrespectful. The fact that Chelsea's fans have issues with him just because he was Liverpool manager when they had a bit of history between them is stupid. Spurs had to put up with the dreadful regime of former Arsenal staffers Terry Neill and then the dull beyond belief football of George Graham. We still got behind the team though and even won the League Cup with the latter. What manager in his right mind would want to manage a club like that? Until Roman Abromovich's swing-door policy for the managers office changes (it won't) and the likes of the old guard Terry, Lampard and Cole have gone there will always be unrest at the club.

Long ball merchants Alan. ;-)

Amen to that. (Jock Stein's quote). Though I think you find the Spurs double winning side of the early 60s were there first when it came to the beautiful game.

Bale only has to look at how things have turned out for Luka Modric at Real Madrid to see that sometimes the grass is not always greener. I think Andre Villas Boas should also take a lot of credit for Bale's current form. He's come in and breathed new life into the club. At the end of last season we lost Modric, Van Der Vaart and Ledley King. Effectively the spine of the team. Not to mention new signings needing time to bed in. Change in footballing philosophy too. We've had our only two recognised strikers out injured or away on Africa Cup Of Nations duty at one time or another and we've coped without them. We're now scoring and winning games in the last few minutes instead of losing them. We're unbeaten in 2013 and now up to third. Things are looking good and I'm well happy. Harry Who?

Opposing fans keep trying to wind up Spurs supporters with that kind of talk. Daniel Levy would strike a very hard bargain for any club wanting to buy Gareth Bale. He's currently on a four year contract, he likes the club, he's playing well, he's happy. If we can qualify for the Champions League and we get another couple of good players in I think he'll stay at least another season with Spurs. There is of course still a chance of glory this season in the Europa League and that would be a very nice little bit of icing on the cake if we were to win that. Anyway, Hammers dealt with. Gooners up next and that is never an easy fixture. COYS!

From what I can see it's an open and shut case. It was Valentines Day, he asked her to marry him, she wouldn't commit to a relationship with a gun obsessed, steroid-abuser in need of anger management therapy, they had an argument, he went for her with a cricket bat, she ran and locked herself in the bathroom, he tried to smash the door in with the bat, frustrated with his failure to get to her he got a gun fired through the door killing her in the process. That's my guess. Case closed. Send him down.

I think he means 2-4. Hence the smiley.
