Mary J was on Later a few months ago and she tore it up. Pure soul, straight outta church. Florence sounds like nails dragging down a blackboard in comparison.
  4. In my experience in going to White Hart Lane all these years it is the Chelsea fans who are by far the worst when it comes to antisemetic chanting swiftly followed by Arsenal then West Ham.

I saw him back in '88 and he was fabulous.

Bobby Womack's still got it by the lorry load and he's playing the Forum tonight. I'm might end up going. Just waiting on a call. Fingers crossed.
  7. Good article this from a Jewish West Ham fan about Sunday's antisemitic chanting by the West Ham supporters at White Hart Lane on Sunday. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2012/nov/26/west-ham-antisemitic-chants-sickening

Yeah, I was there too. Saw 'em twice that year. Knebworth was the other one. As for the age thing it would seem it's perfectly all right for blues and jazz musicians to grow old and continue to perform and record so why can't The Stones? Rock n'roll or pop music in general has always been associated youth but these guys and many other musicians from the 60s/70s and beyond are still performing and their audience has grown up with them. Should artists do the same? Did Picasso stop painting once he got past 60? No, of course not and he produced some of his work well into his 70s. Bottom line is they are still very popular and that's why people still want to go and see them and for those that can afford these ridiculously over-inflated ticket prices will pay top dollar to do so. You can say they are past their best and I wouldn't argue with you but they can still put on a fantastic, powerful and energetic performance that people more than half their age don't even come close too. Enjoy the gig Giggirl.

Not me unfortunately. It's the first time I've missed them in London since the 70s. They are a fantastic live band. The best.
  12. Yeah I was there and heard it. All the West Ham supporters seemed to sing were songs against Spurs fans. None about getting behind their team or players apart from Bubbles before the match. It was a minority that sang the really offensive stuff and it did fizzle out but it was loud enough for everyone to hear. Tuesday: Sunderland 1 QPR 1 Aston Villa 2 Reading 1 Wednesday: Chelsea 2 Fulham 2 Everton 2 Arsenal 1 Southampton 2 Norwich 1 Stoke 2 Newcastle 1 Swansea 2 West Brom 2 Tottenham 2 Liverpool 0 (I'm going. Looking forward to this one). Man Utd 4 West Ham 0 Wigan 1 Man City 2
  13. Not too upset to have fallen off my perch. Going to White Hart Lane today and seeing the good performance we put in has given me some hope. Like Arnie says "I'll be back."
  14. Mark Clattenberg is the referee at Spurs v West Ham on Sunday. Although we've had some dodgy decisions go against us in the past with this fella it's good to see him back. What Chelsea tried to imply with him was a disgrace.
  15. Sunderland 1 West Brom 1 Everton 2 Norwich 1 Man Utd 5 QPR 0 Stoke 1 Fulham 2 Wigan 2 Reading 1 Aston Villa 2 Arsenal 3 Swansea 2 Liverpool 1 Southampton 2 Newcastle 2 Chelsea 2 Man City 3 Tottenham 2 West Ham 2 I'm going to White Hart Lane on Sunday. I'd like to predict a win for Spurs but but our form is very patchy at the moment and can see the Hammers getting something out of this game. (BTW - if you're reading this Parkdrive you haven't put your predicted score in for this fixture). As for Mark Hughes. It's been a long time coming. I guess the owners are thinking - do we trust him in the next transfer window? - He spent a lot of money and most of those signings haven't worked out and the results haven't come either. Get someone else in and see how that goes. A similar thing at Chelsea. Though they started playing the sexy football that the owner craved, they were shipping goals at the other end of the pitch. They've missed Terry at the back but Benitez will tighten things up and make them difficult to beat again. First thing I'd do is drop David Luiz. For the money they paid for him I think he's been rubbish..
  16. By far the most irritating are the Ladrokes ads. Encouraging gambling is bad enough but I'm overcome with bad intensions when they constantly appear between sports programmes. I want to shove that phone down that fake Italian's throat and then smash his face in.
  17. Inter Milan was two years ago so, he does make a good point.
  18. Meanwhile back in Rome where visiting English fans have come to expect a chivving from the locals. Lazio's Ultras are at it again. I expect nothing will be done about it and the culprits will get away with it...again. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-20442906
  19. So you could expect that Benitez's two season deal amounts to winter and spring, followed by the sack and a big fat pay cheque at the end of it. I take it wouldn't you?
  20. What a few million to a billionaire? Peanuts. Contracts don't matter to the likes Abromovich. Cunt!

To have delivered the trophies Ancelotti and Di Matteo had delivered at any other club you'd have thought their job was secure. Not at Chelski. What a horrible club that is.
