I've suffered hearing loss since my teens and as I've gotten older it has got worse. I've lost 50 -per-cent of my hearing. You should be referred by your GP. I was referred to the Audiology Department at Lewisham Hospital where I had tests done and was a soon issued with hearing aids (which I never use because I hate them). I manage to get by perfectly well without them.

Damn! completely forgot to do any predictions since the football's been back. Bah!

I'm in this one.

Had some lovely ales in there this afternoon. So glad this beer emporium has reopened. Overjoyed, especially as it is at the end of my road. Very handy for a quick snifter or two.

I had tears in my eyes when I read the news report about Harry Gregg's passing. A great goalkeeper and a proper working class hero. This from a Spurs fan. Also - Andrew Weatherall RIP.

Speaking as someone who has been a regular at the Dog for over 40 years and watched the service get poorer with each passing year I couldn't agree more with Louisa's post. Don't accept poor service, poor food and drink. Complain, complain complain and vote with your feet and go elsewhere. It is the only way it will get better. I'd also suggest making a complaint to Dulwich Estates too. They have a lot to answer for. Perhaps when M&B's contract next comes up for renewal they might just hand it to someone else. The Dog has all the potential for it to be an award winning destination pub if it is in the right hands. These days I prefer to take my custom elsewhere. I cannot abide poor service. There is no excuse for it if you're running a business.

Here's my mate's take on it from yesterday. "Checking out the re-furb... Four craft ales - all off. Five ales on the pumps - FOUR of them off. I'll have a Fuller's, then, please, before heading off to the superior Half Moon."

Oops! I completely forget...Demarai Gray. I'd really like to see him at Spurs next season. Definitely fits the profile for our club. A talented young English player. Skilful and with bags of pace, and pace is a little something we're missing at the moment in our side. Probably cost a lot more than he would have at the beginning of last season but a terrific young talent in the making and improving all the time. Scored a terrific goal tonight for the Under-21s.
