Long before it was Caf? Rouge in Dulwich Village for many years it was The London Steak House. It was considered quite posh, certainly too posh for my mum and dad as we never ate there. I remember they had a doorman in livery outside when I lived on Pickwick Road throughout in the 60s and 70s. I can't remember when it closed, probably sometime in the 80s or early 90s.

Or a Fish & Chip shop. We're one down since the Sea Cow closed.

That corner doesn't seem to work for restaurants because anyone opening up there is in direct competition with the long established and consistently good Surma next door.
