  1. There used to be a great little record shop a couple doors up from the EDT. Could do with one of those now!!!!
  2. Would you be so kind as to translate Yestesh Pienkna for us I'vemet-jimmy, you never know it might come in handy.>:D

Escape by Calvin Klein if you must know.
  4. Yes, I'd forgotten about her. She's a very pretty girl.
  5. You've hit the nail on the head there Parker's Folly. Fancy living across the road from a pub and never setting foot inside it's portals. Class snobbery indeed.
  6. Yes, lovely she certainly is and I'm sorely tempted to try my luck there but wonder if she has a boyfriend?
  7. I quite fancy the Czech girl who now runs the EDT. She's got a fabulous figure and I feel that underneath the gaze of those hornrimmed glasses she wears lies a demure and alluring beauty. Also, there's one or two girls who work at Inside 72 who are very nice and I should put in a mention for Sam who occasionally works in The Drum, but then she's a mate. And Crystal Clear there is nothing sad about being single. Enjoy your freedom while you can and remember variety is the spice of life.
  8. Barcelona was never a pub. It was a burger joint for a while but before that it was a chemists.

Bob you're such a bitch. I smell lovely thanks. I've certainly never had any complaints. And I think I'd remember if I'd ever been suckered in by "Our Enery". Splash it all over indeed! How very dare you.

James and Bob. I seemed to have touched a bit of a raw nerve with you two yesterday. If you feel I have in someway offended you then I apologise sincerely it's just that I've never felt the need to wear "perfume" as you put it (I'm fragrant enough as it is, thanks) and moisturiser just doesn't enter my vocabulary. And, I'm confused too, why does your face hurt Bob?
  11. It was the sports ground pavillion on the right hand side along Gallery Road before Belair Park. Coghlan went to Kingsdale I believe. They also had some early gigs in the Uplands apparently. Rossi's dad lived on Barry Road and indeed one of my friends once owned one of Rossi's old flats, which was above the co-op funeral parlour on Lordship Lane, where he lived for a while in the late 60s/early 70s. I once saw Rick Parfitt drinking down the Dog about ten years ago. Also the Stones and the Who played at the old cinema/theatre which is now a Weatherspoons in Forest Hill in the early 60s.

With you there Polly, thanks for sticking up for us straights. I'm fortunate in having lots of "girlfriends". I'm in touch with my feminine side and I'm always there if a friend needs to talk as I'm a good listener but I'm definitely not a metro or a gay, although I can camp it up with the best of them. I'm a man, I'm clean shaven, don't wear aftershave unless someone buys it for me, which is rare, and I certainly don't moisteurise. I'll leave that to the vain and narcissistic amongst us.
  13. Alas, you're probably right on the money there Ted.
  14. I used to love popping in there now and then for a late four or five and skanking to the reggae and tucking into some jerk chicken. I'd not been there for some time and had no idea it had even shut down. What a shame.
  15. Come on Snorky, out with it, you've got us all in suspense.
  16. snorky Wrote: > The landlord looks them up and down and asks " Who > the f*ck are you lot ?" Sounds like Reg who owns the Magala and the Palmerston.
  17. Try rubbing the dog owner's face in it. That usually does the trick.
  18. You know what? I just knew I'd get stick for saying that. I really am not the neanderthal you may think I am.
  19. All this metrosexual stuff is nonsense dreamed up by someone working in PR on some glossy magazine. They are either incredibly vain, somewhat effeminate men or not quite out of the closet yet as far as I'm concerned.
  20. An ED Arts Club at the Police Station would be perfectly situated, you could also add some rehearsal space and recording studios in there too.(tu)
  21. What pub's that then?
  22. Agree with you there Mockney. They are so overrated. I really liked the first LCD Soundsystem album, but even that was a bit patchy but the second one starts off OK even though it totally rips off Krafwerk and Bowie, especially on the first track. I only like about three or four tracks on the new one after that it really is insipid, uninspired, ordinary and dare I it say rather boring.
  23. Yeah me too. I'm off for a pint.
  24. snorky Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > > Opium Dens ? not that I know of, but they did bust > and close down a crack house a couple of months > back nr Goose Green. Crack house doesnt conjur up > the same romantic images as an opium den does it ? No it doesn't Snorky. Besides I wouldn't take any drug that was named after a piece of my arse.
  25. I agree with you there to a certain extent on the pub front Spadetownboy but I speak as someone who has lived in and around Dulwich all my life. It was a half decent pub once but it also has the potential of being a very good one and surely that would be better than a Harvester?
