  1. Really enjoyed that. Thanks.

  3. Good one PD.
  4. That's a bit harsh Mr Ben.
  5. I'm not keen on them.

True, but the My Life In The Bush Of Ghosts album was an early one from '81 and was quite pioneering and influential in the case of sampling, found sounds and electronics etc etc, blah blah blah. Bowie & Iggy Pop have worked together a lot - Low, The Idiot, Lust For Life and on Blah Blah Blah. Here's a live one with Bowie on keys and cigarettes.
  7. I was lucky enough to go to one of the five nights Jeff Beck played at Ronnie Scott's. This is just one of highlights of one of those nights.
  8. Absolutely, I'm sick of seeing it. Book the players who do it or send them off. Only then may we see a change.
  9. Should have been a number one.

No wonder they didn't want to let him go. It has to be said though that Sunderland were beyond woeful. Spurs on the other hand I thought were a little unlucky yesterday. We had good movement going forward, didn't take our chances early doors and had a couple of decisions go against us. The referee made some poor decisions. No way was the first penalty where Lampard takes a tumble a penalty. Soldado, who, though missed a penalty yesterday, I thought worked hard and played well. He's just not getting the rub of the green. Lamela and Kaboul had poor games. City have a world class striker in Ag?ero and he was the difference between the two teams yesterday. He's top class. Something we're sadly lacking up front at the moment.
  11. Indeed.
  12. Don't you just despise the Mail? Apart from the story itself which is obviously ooh, shock horror, a commie at our posh school type shit which doesn't help her in keeping her well paid job but also you get "?36,000 a year Dulwich College," says in the headline but by the time it gets to the picture caption it's gone up to ?39,000 a year. Suck on that.

  14. I don't want to stick the boot in but I felt once they got rid of certain key staff at least six months ago, staff, that new customers had become friendly with and also at the same time became regulars got on with, that was the death knell. Having said that I wish them well though it's not somewhere I've been in since the mid summer. ?4.40 for a pint of Guinness. Get ta fcuk with ya. I just hope they can address the faults and turn things around.
  15. Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton. Both of whom have been creatively dead since the 70s, unlike their contempory Jeff Beck and fellow Yardbird who has continued to explore and generally not be boring. This from 2001.
  16. Indeed. You don't expect me to read the damn thing do you.
  17. I think balance needs to be redressed.
  18. He was two footed RD. I remember one goal against Leicester City (not in the edit) in 1968 where he left four players on their arse and rounded a young Peter Shilton that was as good if not better than the ones in the edit. Oh and he got a hat-trick that day too. His third of the season. Scored four in a cup-tie four days later too where the headline in the paper the next day that I remember clearly was Four Goals Can't Equal One Cap. There was a big push to get him back in the England team ("Jimmy For England") but Ramsey wasn't having it despite the fact he'd again finished as top scorer in the country with 36 goals that season.
  19. If you think you've got it tough please spare a thought for this poor family in the Cotswolds and think how lucky you are. http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/ag237/jahlushhead/10472878_830125543705218_7665761801838216356_n_zps5d0867ec.jpg
  20. Yeah, Forest Hill Road PO is tops. Really nice people who run it. I never bother to use the one on Lordship Lane anymore as it's nearly always hellish busy.
  21. Jimmy Greaves could do what George did i.e leave four or five players on their arse, round the keeper and score. He did that a lot. He'd get all the tap-ins too. Genius. He was also George Best's idol.
