  1. Are you sure you're on the right thread, Alan?
  2. Feeble excuse. I'm not buying it. https://metro.co.uk/2014/11/21/tottenham-striker-emmanuel-adebayor-claims-his-mum-is-using-witchcraft-to-ruin-his-career-4956573/

I'm well known to many local businesses and on friendly terms." I almost threw up reading that. Folie de grandeur.

  5. Quids. My football boots were finally thrown out last year after 20 years of gathering dust. I know how you feel. I've recently grown a beard. It's full of grey and silver too. Either it's aged me 20 years or a I'm really looking my age.

    Recovering from yesterday's pub crawl.
  7. Dennis Bergkamp. Makes it easier for me as he was a Spurs fan growing up and idolised Glenn Hoddle but there were times I hated him for obvious reasons but he was a fabulous player. Top class.
  8. I use paper tissues and keep them in my man bag, dear. One blow and straight in the bin or more preferable, flushed down the loo.
  9. Must be all that cheese on toast you eat, Louisa.
  10. You keep a snotrag in your pocket? Urgh!

It's also very good news for the plethora of local beer making businesses. I.e Late Knights, Gipsy Hill and Brockley Brewery, etc etc.
  12. Well, at Spurs we only have three strikers and none of them can score in the Premiership.
  13. You reckon?

This is great news for beer enthusiasts. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-30105445
  15. Hardly saw him. He's never done it in an England shirt and probably never will.
  16. Having had the pleasure of DJ-ing with Sly & Reggie a few times in the past I'm rather upset by this. Condolences to all his loved ones. He was a really nice bloke. RIP.
  17. Cracking game. Thought Clyne was excellent at right back. Very solid in his first two games for England and Lallana when he came on for the otherwise ineffective Downing was another great performer on the night. A very good England performance. Well pleased.
  18. I believe they're owned by the same people who have the fabulous Turkish shop on Forest Hill Road.
  19. I'm looking forward to it too. Always a bit tasty this fixture. I was at Wembley during Euro '96 when Gazza scored that amazing goal. Incredible atmosphere. Never witnessed anything like it before or since.
  20. The Flying Pig won't last long at those prices.
  21. Thanks OutOfFocus. Blimey, Tulse Hill must be on the up.
