Why on earth should they care what other people think of them. I'd be over the moon if my Grandfather came back and started dancing around a club on a Saturday night- what a joy!! In fact- here you go http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/36311595/the-elderly-couple-who-went-clubbing-at-fabric-until-5am Wonderful!!
  3. In your experience Louisa, do all people aged 40 and over have to behave in a certain way and be interested in certain things? "eg under 40, or one of those old timers who tries to act under 40" Surely people should just act how they feel. God forbid anyone should still feel and act young eh!

I think the Miky thing was because they bought him on the back of a magnificent season playing number 10 for BVB, i assume made promises about him playing the same position at Old Trafford and then playing him out of position to accommodate Rooney. Wasn't he dropped completely from the next match day squad too? Co-incidence perhaps.

The food, the music, the styling and the atmosphere. it fits me perfectly. God help me if were so curmudgeonly in my early 40s! But, even if I didn't like it- the ownership has every right to pitch their business at any demographic they like at the exclusion of others. The main Meat Liquor branch, just behind Oxford Street has been open for years now and there are still big queues to get in at traditional meal times. Likewise with meat Market at Covent Garden. It's a very very popular and successful brand/business model and there will always be queues because people really like what they do. I suspect you might be trolling, but if not, you couldn't have missed the point by much further.
  6. Was chatting to a friend about this last night (ok, he's a City fan, so IS biased), but we reckon in his couple of months at the club he's manage to piss off Mata, Shaw, Mkhitaryan, Herrera, Schweinsteiger and Lingaard.
  7. United need to snap out of this very quickly or Mourinho will be gone before Christmas. He imploded last year. He'll do the same again. Twice as much pressure on him this time around. He's already had brilliant success with Chelsea, they forgave him but different story here.

  9. I suspect it'll work quite well for groups of people, as they have a wide range of things on offer. But we're so well catered for for most of the types of food on the menu in this area- if I wanted a burger i'd go to one of the specialist places (meat Liquor or Honest), if I wanted Indian, well I don't need to spell it out.
  10. I bet if you looked at stats concerning how many elite fitness athletes 'had asthma' it would be a shockingly high amount. It also wouldn't surprise me if the names of the doctors that 'diagnosed' asthma pop up over and over again too.
  11. I walked past Meat Liquor and Xoco just after 7pm last night and the contrast was stark. Meatliquor had no free space, Xoco was more or less empty. Perhaps they need to sell themselves a little better.
  12. My heart is no more or less broken than before I read this thread.

I think a draw was a fair result. A proper game of two halves. Incidentally, Spurs are yet to concede a goal from open play this season. (one penalty and one floated free kick that went through everyone)
  16. There seems to be a big problem for strays in Greece. I worked a summer season many years ago in Corfu and children tried to flog stray pups to tourists (and workers) all the time. Unfortunately, without all the right jabs etc. it's a non-starter. It sounds like the lady you're talking about is doing a fine job though :)

  19. So, it looks like Tottenham are set to smash the home attendance record for a top flight club after selling out Wembley. I cannot wait! http://www.squawka.com/news/tottenham-announce-wembley-sell-out-for-champions-league-opener-against-monaco/771698?
  20. Can't wait to get in for one. I've been a fan of the Dead Hippy since it's earliest days and love their buffalo wings. Also the chilli burger.
  21. Jaywalker- do you think interest rates are artificially low and perhaps won't stay as low for as long as the market thinks?
  22. But yes, I hope you do very well. And aren't as expensive as Ottolenghi. I genuinely hope you do well. I liked Le Chandelier and if it has to go I hope I like its replacement :)
  23. It was more a comment on Ottolenghi and my veggie friends moaning about it's prices than anything else.
