  2. Why Bravissimo? I genuinely don't understand what's going on with this one. In the meantime, Wunderbar to the Austrian people.
  3. Thanks

It seems to me that all of your rantings are selfish ones, as someone that wanted a buy-to-let but find that now it's a less financially viable way of making more money. What's your solution for folk like me that would like to buy their own first home? If you're so desperate to invest in property why not buy shares in a commercial property fund?
  6. Awwww that's nice that they got a racist joke in early. How clever of them. Sounds like perfect post referendum/trump viewing. Let's hope they get their prime time BBC slot back soon.

I really didn't get that from their post and I'm usually very sensitive to such things. But I could be completely wrong of course. And I genuinely didn't realise that it had become a term of abuse. I could picture it in the playground I suppose, but among adults?! Blimey.
  8. I eat in Franco Manca on my own regularly- they are welcoming :)

What on earth are you doing on your bike to elicit these responses? I've been commute cycling for 8 years now and never had a single incident or threat.

(assuming that he may go to > the school) That cycle lane at E&C is far from pointless. It's a damned sight safer than the roundabout. Cyclists spend so much time bleating and hollering about getting segregated cycle lanes, the government spends a fortune providing them, then cyclists don't use them. I see it every day. It drives me mad and i'm a commuting cyclist, goodness knows how much it must wind other road users up. Not using it is pure arrogance. And every time a cyclist decides to use the road instead of the segregated lane it sets the cycling agenda back a bit.

  13. For goodness sake folks- calm down. There's nothing in suffernots post that is racist or bigoted. It was all said in a friendly non-offensive manner. It seems the term 'immigrant chap' has caused some folks to lose their shit. Where's the difference in that or calling someone a black chap in an African Barbers (you don't need to specify whether he was from Kenya, or Nigeria or even Africa even if you did know his nationality)? Are we also not allowed to call people tourists now too? Do we have to specify their nationality of known?
  14. Not a dig, just a genuine interest- but why not use tablets?
  15. I'm just glad some comfort has been found on here in these difficult times.
  16. It's wind up of course. And the coffee is significantly better than before.
  17. I'm sorry, I don't understand.

Very probably. I'd be grateful if you could explain why.
  19. DaveR, you've done very little other than patronise and insult in this thread. This campaign is clearly not about gagging. The DM can write what they like within the confines of the law. They can campaign whatever they like within the confines of the law. People that disagree with what they write and campaign can write and counter campaign against them. The campaign isn't about gagging or censoring, it's about having the freedom to disagree and the right to protest. The Mail has the right to press freedom. The public has the freedom to protest and spend their money where they want. The advertisers have the freedom to do spend their money where they want.
  20. A new BBC radio station starting on Thursday, in collaboration with Jazz FM. At the moment it'll be a pop-up station (I think the pop-up concept works perfectly for radio- if it's popular it carries on). Looking forward to this.

  24. Fantastic performance. Looked for a while that the ABs would pull it back, like they always do, but Ireland did so well to hold on then pull away again. Fantastic.
  25. I like Jenny and Lee, in Hull.
