John Stones is > shit. Never understood why people raved about him. Stones and Sterling cost a combined hundred million. Astonishing when you consider that Alderweireld and Alli cost a combined ?17m. United v Liverpool was dire. Lacking quality and thunder. Liverpool missing a couple of players (Clyne and Mane) but surely enough depth to be more effective than that. United resorting to long ball football. Also, United fans- would you have started Mata?
  2. Why not just drink soft drinks?

Everybody's happy...until a bigger club > comes calling. It was more intended to illustrate the feeling at the club at the moment. Players love being there and love Pochettino and what he's building. All have made very positive and encouraging noises about the future. Less need to chase money and glory elsewhere.
  4. Things are a little different since our last big name departure. The following have all signed new long term deals in the last few months: Pochettino Lloris Kane Alli Eriksen Dier Vertonghen Rose Walker Carroll Winks Vorm And by all accounts a new Alderweireld deal is close.
  5. Officially better than Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard. Sort of. After 50 top flight matches: ? Dele Alli: 16 goals, 10 assists ? Paul Scholes: 16 goals, 3 assists ? Steven Gerrard: 2 goals, 3 assists ? Frank Lampard: 5 goals, 2 assists And he does this for laughs.
  6. Toponomy[edit] Wembley is derived from the Old English proper name "Wemba" and the Old English "Lea" for meadow or clearing. The name was first mentioned in the charter of 825 of Selvin. King Beornwulf.
  7. Yep, just security as long as you've checked in online before hand. I recommend downloading the easyjet app and having your boarding card on there. TBH you could probably tun up an hour before flying.
  8. I've had the 6 for over two years now and it's the best i've ever had. I've always (as in every single time) upgraded as soon as my contract has expired. I always put a lot of time in researching the best options for my next phone. This is the first time i've decided to stick with what I have. I know the Samsungs have slightly better cameras and the Android operating systems are more customisable, but without being ridiculously picky I cannot fault the iphone 6. I've got myself a ?25 per month vodafone sim card, which gives me 25gb monthly data, unlimited calls/texts, 4gb per month roaming data and unlimited roaming calls/texts in country & back to the UK and a free spotify premium subscription for the whole 12 month contract, saving me another tenner. So effectively i'm paying ?15 per month for that data, calls and texts, home and abroad. Phenomenal value.

Presumably it's under warranty. There was an issue when the 6 first came out about some of them bending. Ask for a replacement.
  10. Show of strength from the top 6 this week. Significant gap to 7th now.
  11. I'd like to see Giggs have a go. I have no feelings about Swansea either way so from a completely neutral standpoint, it would be interesting.
  12. What's to stop you just taking your time packing it at the checkout in lidl? People pack into their own bags at the checkout in lidl in germany. We use it a lot in germany.
  13. It was intended as a lighthearted look at 2016.
  14. Thanks for all the responses but the bit in the original post that said, "aside from the deaths, politics, terrorism and conflict...." was key.
  15. Sod all this Christmas positivity; aside from the deaths, politics, terrorism and conflict, what were your biggest negatives of the last 12 months? James Corden's continued and inexplicable rise in popularity is a big one for me. I can't remember a single snowflake falling in London this year, either at the back end of last winter or early part of this- I love snow, so this is a huge negative for me. Merry Bloody Christmas everyone! x
  16. Who knew Mr Cheese Block had an EDF account?!
  17. I presume this is trolling thread. If not, bag up yourselves for goodness sake. Or get one of your household staff to do it for you.

  19. One of my christmas traditions is queuing at Neals Yard on Christmas Eve out of choice. It's fun. There's a lovely chatty atmosphere in the queue and often staff wander up and down with cheese to try.
  20. I don't think chefs and potwashers expect tips. In my tender years I worked in catering quite a lot, front and back of house, and would never have expected tips when back of house. Perhaps times have changed though.
  21. The Americans will finally realise how painfully unfunny James Corden is and try and give him back. edited to remove apostrophe

  23. It would be hellishly frustrating for another customer wanting soya milk to be repeatedly told that we're out of stock.

The bloke on the stall who sells the fake mink throws outside the cinema is being asked to leave.
