  1. I do, but there's the opportunity to put them in a resale later on.
  2. i like both
  3. I got 2x England v Fiji in the opening game (top price of ?315 per ticket though as I chose the option to bump up to next price level if unsuccessful) and two mid-priced tickets for QF1 (if England win their group they play in this QF). I applied for 2 tickets for all group games, both possible QFs, both SFs and the Final. Will have to think long and hard about the Fiji game cos that is a LOT of money for an essentially meaningless (hopefully) game. From what i've been hearing, those that applied for 2 tickets per game rather than 4 had more luck.
  4. Just looked at anorakonline and brought up a tiny amount of vomit.
  5. are we allowed covers? not sure it quite warrants a whole new thread- but greta opening tracks on debut (solo) albums that happen to be covers:
  6. The Killers had one or two half-decent indie pop songs on their first album and everything else they've recorded has been (to borrow a Stephen Fry-ism) rusty stool water.
  7. The Libertines- Vertigo
  8. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Which is fine. > This is a thread dedicated to difference in taste. amen
  9. I'm not and never have been over-enamoured with the album or 'the song'.
  10. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > the new spin is underrated at the time, overrated > now > > I add Neutral Milk Hotel Couldn't agree more- don't get the fuss
  11. i'm confused now- are we talking universally liked/appreciated or overrated?
  12. Admittedly I don't know every album he's made back to front but am a big fan of No More Shall We Part, Murder Ballads, The Boatman's Call, Tender Prey, Abbatoir Blues, Dig Lazarus Dig & Push The Sky Away
  13. I was going for stuff that the average non nick cave fan might not know
  14. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > ...and Nick Cave. Sorry, but massively overrated > IMO I know it's just your opinion- but I feel I can help. If you don't find something you like amongst this lot I will give up preaching the Gospel of Cave
  15. I've heard it before but have no clue, sorry
  16. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > "Shane MacGowan", if you can just add Nick Cave > and cats to that list we might have a > snorkystorm!!! Yes- Nick Cave too. What's a snorkystorm?
  17. Bob Dylan's voice is (well, was) perfect. It couldn't be improved upon and any other voice singing his songs sounds wrong. In the same way that Lou Reed's, Neil Young's, Wayne Coyne's, Shane MacGowan's, Shaun Ryder's etc etc voices are all perfect. If they could all sing note perfect across 4 octaves their songs would sound horrendous.
