You can be in the heart of the City in under half an hour- easily. You can get the Charing Cross Train 2 stops from London Bridge, which takes 5-10 mins to be in the heart of the West End (again- full journey, less than half and hour).

  7. smashing then you'll have no need to contribute further to this thread did i read that they charge over ?2.50 for an americano? if so, it's horrendously over-priced regardless of the quality of the coffee. Monmouth and Taylor Street are cheaper in the west end and city, and i'd be amazed if Anderson's coffee is any better. Who do they use as a coffee supplier incidentally?

  13. please replace 'Oliver' with 'Harry'.
  14. Apparently the most popular boys and girls names for newborns this year are Oliver & Amelia. Apparently (as I would rather cheesegrate my own eyeballs than watch it to confirm) two of the 'best' performers on the most recent x-factor were called Oliver & Amelia. I was genuinely proud to be British for a couple of weeks- but it doesn't take much to remind you what's really important to the people of this country.

  22. More of a 10,000 metres man myself. But then I do have an unusually comfortable seat.
  23. Cheers, so roughly ?66m a year spread across all Olympic Sports. I guess it's such a subjective debate. For me, spending money on people's futures is more important. In the aftermath of the recent riots, I think anything that offers more opportunities to young people, is the best way to spend any extra funds available.
  24. found out that Team GB is funded solely by the British Olympic Association, and the BOA is funded purely by fundraisers and events and receives no Government funding.
