  1. I cycle along the south circular three days a week (to and from work so twice a day) so I am wondering what the pollution levels are now since the cars etc are stationary or very slow moving. Remind me of the aims? Lower pollution?
  2. Have they gone? Shop now empty?
  3. Rent on lordship lane is probably around -?80-?100k - same in Sheffield??
  4. The duty thing is a huge con- it only applies to 40 gallon barrels (that places like weatherspoons have) all independent or craft ales come in 20 - 30 gallon barrels so they do not qualify. Great photo op for the govt - whilst the reality is they are pandering to their mates who donate to the party whilst real honest entrepreneurs are of course shafted. Plus of course all overheads and cost of sales are going thru the roof for the pub/restaurant industry- food up 20%, staff- if you can find them, 10-15%, utilities- 250-300%, rents, 15-20% - so there is no way your av pint is going to lower in price?
  5. I think the new tack taken by the councillors (expressed in an email to me by one of them) is that they can?t take out the LTN?s even if they wanted to because central govt would fine them. govt made them put them in, it?s not our fault etc. Tbh I think the money they have raked in would more thank cover any financial punishments
  6. I think Ulez is quite different to any other recording - there is no manpower to check for infringement even if you have the time and date. So frustrating- we had a personal car crime and i suggested to the police that I would personally sit thru any cctv to save them the trouble (I am dbs checked) and they told me there is no recording available.
  7. Councillor Richard Leeming has confirmed in an email that Rye Lane will shortly reopen to buses - let?s hope this is the case
  8. Yup have challenged 35 pcns -all incurred before we received notice of the offence (6-8 weeks before receiving) some have been written off and so me taken to the next level? fingers crossed but not banking on anything. Funny how done were accepted and done not - all challenged on the same basis.
  9. So she?s saying they weren?t going to take any notice anyway? So why the **** was all that money spent on a consultation?? There should be a vote of no confidence in this lot if it was possible?
  10. And I bet it is a friend of Tory govt minister who owns the company producing the books?.
  11. Leave them in the front garden- they should disappear
  12. Excellent post Rockets - was having this exact conversation with a DV resident this morning - look forward to hearing if there is any response
  13. Would be nice if the police had some presence in the locality. There were at least 50 officers hanging around Crystal Palace park last weekend for the wireless festival
  14. Wasn?t there some sort of ?fair? there recently with people dancing in the square - pretty sore they were blocking access for cyclists - who no doubt had to weave between the musicians and odd couples twirling about - are they idiots too?
  15. AO are an online appliance company - we got our large fridge from them - very easy to deal with
  16. Saw him on a Santander bike on Woodward?s road Friday. Who do we call - it?s hardly a 999 emergency?
  17. They have spent god knows how much and taken weeks to do bugger all. Could they not have just painted black and white lines to create a crossing zebra crossing. Utter waste of our time and money by the current idiot incumbents
  18. We had a similar thing some weeks ago - h was wearing a hat and a mask so hard to describe. He took a parcel from our doorstep and left and empty box with a hill court road address.
  19. It?s over ?1000 as they appealed on the basis of unclear signage and massive delays in receiving notice of wrongdoing- and of course the fines escalated whilst being appealed
