  1. On a different note (or is it?): https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=798912126835149&set=vb.165848743474827&type=2&theater
  2. I got that far, but no idea why the laptop and WiFi were ok and then suddenly not. Would appreciate a response from Admin as it's odd that at least two of us were affected at the same time.
  3. You clearly don't work in financial services.
  4. In the middle of using the forum this evening I was suddenly blocked from posting. I have emailed you but no reply so far. You didn't send me any messages at the time and I don't think I've contravened any forum rules as my account is still active (I can log in). When I try to post or send a PM I get the error message: 'Your IP address, domain or ISP has been blocked. Please contact the forum administrators.' Please can you advise. I'm posting this one via a smartphone.
  5. Post regularly on this forum, you'll fit right in.

It was via an ad in this very forum... Link below; looks like there'll be other forumites helping out too. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?6,1427747,1442047#msg-1442047
  7. There have been past threads on this. I think the general advice was that the tickets are unenforceable, classified in law as an invoice than a fine, and if it happens again the best thing is to ignore them and let them pursue you if they want to.

Necessity makes strange bedfellows, or something to that effect, but full nudity definitely wouldn't work in my favour. A hint of cleavage in a formal meeting is generally enough - men are so easily terrified, bless them.
  9. I stopped doing the full commercial Christmas a long time ago and, although I sometimes feel like I'm letting other people down or that I should be doing a lot of social and family things, I find it's usually more peaceful and meaningful this way. On Christmas and Boxing Days I'll be helping out with lunches locally for some peeps who are alone but not, unlike me, by choice.
  10. Panel is all male so I'm thinking distraction may work, possibly cleavage.
  11. I'm female and I'm wearing make-up...
  12. I have an important interview tomorrow morning. I also have a bruise on my forehead (fridge door), a grazed knuckle (hoover) and dark circles under the eyes (persistent cold). Prospect not looking good.
  13. Accident at junction with Upland apparently.
  14. The most western bit of Cornwall is pretty odd.
  15. I'd rather live in King's Lynn than Sutton. Right now, department stores feel like a strange alternative reality.
  16. If they're a reasonable size you could do a layer of drainage (eg polystyrene packaging broken up or florist marbles), some compost and fill each with a hyacinth bulb or a few snowdrops, narcissi and crocuses? Or line with blotting paper and do mustard and cress, or maybe beansprouts.
  17. Same story, different angle. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2869969/Excruciating-encounter-hipster-twin-Cereal-Killer-cafe-challenged-selling-bowl-cornflakes-3-20-one-London-s-poorest-areas.html

  19. Is it you who's been putting a 2-page letter protesting about this through everyone's letterbox in the area this week? It says that local people haven't been consulted, but if you live in the area you will know we were approached formally by Southwark. I found that really annoying, to be honest (and also the fact that you ignored all the 'no junk mail' signs in your zeal to get your own way).
  20. Probably this: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1440733

  22. A poem is not Prose in lines of the same length Plus some dodgy rhymes.
  23. The church at the top of Barry Road collects donations on behalf of Pecan. I left a load of stuff there the other day.
  24. In my road there is often a gap of 1-2 hours between the guy who sorts and the actual collection. The sorter also has an unpleasant habit of chucking on the ground anything he doesn't think should be in the bins. As I'm usually around during the day and these are shared bins, I generally end up tidying up after them and recovering the bins that have ended up over the road. All a bit boring, but as long as they manage not to scatter broken glass all over the place - a real problem when the bigger bins started and the cause of many a puncture on my bike - I'm OK with that.
