Attack in Surrey Canal, Peckham (Lounged)

Mark Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are you a time machine salesman Tony? World Leaders in Fashion/Music/Photography/Theatre, maybe Art as well. Things go in cycles, so who knows. Anyway most Ex-Peckham,Camberwell,Kennington,Walworth Residents have recreated that time but changed location to Welling/Bexley/Sidcup..so much so that, recently, Walworth School in the heart of Southwark had a Re-Union of Old Schoolboys in Bexley Village as most of them had moved out lived within a 6 mile Radius of there. There's no doubt that 70%+ of The people living on the outskirts of South London are from Inner South London originally. Either they moved or their Parents did from Inner London. Inner London is still very vibrant, but certainly different and nowhere near as safe Mark. -

Sorry, this IS the same Peckham that I walked thru' at 3.00AM/4.00AM in the early 1970's as a late Teenager, without a care in the World. I must have done that late walk 50 times,at least...and that was the "Peckham" of "Five Estates" infamy including The North Peckham. There was never a suggestion that anyone did have it infamy:-$ Area must have changed somewhat, and it WAS vibrant then, still is. Shame. Obviously was a Middle-Class Area back in The 1940's/1950's. Can you positively imagine My Darlings:) -

What does that mean? "Pillwall Brick"??..Thats West Ham Fans derogatory named for Millwall's brand of Football that is so boring, they reckon, that you have to have Pills to endure it..zzzz....and "Brick" in this context is an old-fashioned term for a real trooper, as in, "he/she's areal brick"...someone to rely or depend on.... -

No Description? Plagued by this in one area of Bristol I was reading the other night where 2 main gangs are involved, apparently. In Bristol there is a clear description of Members of the 2 Gangs who are racially diverse so it is "relatively" easy for the cyclists there to be additionally vigilant. -

Agreed, but a very good Ladyfriend is a Civil Engineer and she doesn't mind a bit of "role reversal"B) Had NO interest in anything remotely "technical" or "practical" whatsoever. Love these "handy" Guys who have tried to tell me how easy it is! I say to them if you can do 10 mathematical calculations, seperately, in the time it takes to say it, "like wot I can" then I'll do some "DIY"..NO CHANCE!:-$

I tried to Sub-Let my own Business unsuccessfully(won't bore you with the details) so forced to go solo I had/have to make it work and this Weekend for 9 hours combined work I earned, after Tax, nearly 6 weeks money that I would have done in one of my old Office Jobs, so long may it continue!:) More work required though, much more to try to consolidate! -
