  1. NHS says paracetomol used routinely in pregnancy . http://www.nhs.uk/chq/pages/2397.aspx?categoryid=54&subcategoryid=129 Goldenseal tincture ( not goldenseal and echanacea tablets ) is fantastic for colds ,sore throats ,etc .Gargle and swallow .
  2. Well for what it's worth ,when I was driving last night at 9.30 the main roads were perfectly driveable . In the main I stuck to bus routes ,but Court Lane ,Eynella etc were all fine . It didn't actually seem that cold and the gritted roads weren't freezing . Not much help I know to this mornings debate .
  3. Just noticed other thread on same subject .
  4. That's terrible - poor Sandra . She's lovely and her pies are fantastic . They must have been watching her ,is she ok ?

  7. You may want to post this in the Family Section - think Kingsdale has been discussed there before . Good luck - horrid to have a child that's bullied .
  8. Oh Fuschia ,poor you . Why are you in so much pain ? Are they looking after you ? Do you need a hit squad ?
  9. Fuschia - oh dear ,I was wondering ( apart from the obvious ) why we'd not had a progress report . You poor thing . Chin up - you'll soon be home . Sending hugs .
  10. Terrific news - hope you'll be reading all this at home .
  11. Thanks for all advice guys . Sadly don't think cavity wall insulation is an option - it's an old single brick wall building - but I do think there's scope for draughtproofing . Shower/WC is downstairs in back extension ,though have to keep door open to facilitate access with frame . ( thinks - this having to keep doors open business must be such a common problem for people using walking aids ) Will think on about curtains ( especially charity shop ones ! )
  12. ok - scenario is 2 up ,2 down terraced house . Staircase ,with open bannisters running up from rear of back living room - so that a lot of heat escapes upstairs . Elderly occupant ,very limited mobility using downstairs two rooms as bedsit type set up . Just wanted to ask - best to keep radiators on upstairs and heat whole dwelling ,though upstairs not used or just keep on downstairs ? Keeping warm is the priority ,not saving costs . Any advice ?
  13. How are things this morning ? Are the bus drivers triumphing again ? Or are the roads too icy ?
  14. sheepdog - sorry ,don't quite see because mentally challenged - is 185 coming doen East Dulwich Rd and then left at Peckham Rye . Wondering where to try and pick it up .
  15. sheepdog - which route did the 185 go on it's diversion through Peckham?
  16. Blimey - just seen bendy bus 12 and a 197 heading down Barry Rd towards Peckham . That and two 197's going up towards the library are all I've seen in last 2 hours .

  18. citizenEd - can you spot 185/176 's going towards Camberwell Green ?
  19. Well he was investigated and I assume that this was because the police identified him as a suspect . Whether they " identified " him by an image or some other means ,I wouldn't know .
  20. Damian - yes ,mistakes do get made . Another student ,studying in Cambridge ,was also arrested ,interviewed etc for the fire extinguisher incident at Millbank . But as a different person has now been charged and appeared in court I guess this was an error .
  21. Chocoholic - I use clear plastic bags for my tins and plastics . Tesco's sell them .I always buy mine from Surrey Quays Tesco's ,not sure if smaller Tesco's do them . Now I think of it Asda do clear bags as well - but the Tesco's ones fit the crate I have in my kitchen !
