  1. https://photos.app.goo.gl/nsBir5gYnNGtb6Pp7 Anyone's ?
  2. I would have liked to attend Southwark's meeting at the library on Wednesday. I see that you need to book as " space will be limited " Having tried to do so, I've been put on a "wait list". Have others found the same ? Any ideas on how many lucky people will be allowed to attend ?
  3. This is for forest hill road surgery . TIA
  4. I've put in an animal removal request to Southwark but would be distressing for small children to see .
  5. gaby -so glad you recommended Milford .I had a problem with a radiator ,phoned him yesterday (Sat) and he was with me on Sunday morning . He sorted my radiator ,happily looked at some taps for me and will be coming back to fit a new pair and install some isolation valves . He was so nice ,easy going and clearly knows exactly what he's doing .Honest and kind . He says he works within the M25 circle .
  6. Near "The Elms" .Not one I've seen in the vicinity before so concerned it might be lost .
  7. Maybe I'm less tolerant than others or less understanding of how a faster internet trumps all ,but I'm a tiny bit pissed off with the disruption . I guess it's easier and possibly safer for pedestrians to cross over and use the pavement on the opposite side than it would be for traffic to be incommoded ,but I do feel for those with pushchairs and toddlers . It would have been nice if some effort have been made to clean off the mud all over our path across our forecourt to our front door .Even nicer if the excavation hadn't undermined the adjacent two paving slabs at the end of our pathway causing them to subside. They weren't completely level before work began so it would be hard to argue for making good .I hadn't realised they would be digging so close otherwise I'd have taken photos . Then there's the coincidence of a water leak being discovered exactly where the digging was taking place .And now the disappearance of the workforce . Though in truth the word workforce could only be used to describe one third of the 3 guys outside my dwelling .Unless you count leaning on my fence while watching your youngest colleague as work.
  8. Ok ,I've googled and apparently a ringer is a stolen car .The car being photographed is not stolen .Owned by neighbour for several years .
  9. No speculation from me .What is car ringing ?
  10. Man walked past car carried on for a few feet ,turned back ,stood at rear of car ,took photo with phone and walked off . Why would he do this ?
  11. More than disappointed.Entitled pr**ks. Although ..I guess they'll stop when a hosepipe ban comes in and maybe they're anticipating this .
  12. No ,I didn't .Only lasted about 45 mins .Didn't smell like a barbeque .Seemed to be smoke drifting but hard to tell where it was coming from . Seemed odd when there is such a high fire risk .
  13. It didn't smell like a barbeque ,Ilona could be right ,maybe it's a smoker ? Just seems a bit unwise to have any fires at the moment with the danger of sparks and how dry the vegetation is .
  14. I wonder where it's from ,smells like coal to me .
  15. ianr thank you so much! I just couldn't work it out.
  16. "very judgmental"- are you referring to civilservant's post ? Sounded quite factual to me . '
  17. Was the lorry stationary and parked on the wrong side of the road ?
  18. with small "true utility" tool attachment
  19. Another vote for Parkside near the Herne Tavern .Spacious ,clean ,quiet .Friendly service ,good food and good price .
  20. Mariamadelt - the original post refers to knitted or sewn hearts . "Something we began doing a few years back was giving family members a knitted or sewn heart pair"
  21. Sally - mmm ,I'm a cat owner and lover but I sympathise . Water pistol on sight ? Light covering of sharp sand on key areas ? Good suggestions here https://www.countryliving.com/uk/wildlife/pets/a32402647/how-stop-cats-pooping-in-garden/#:~:text=One%20of%20the%20natural%20ways,and%20spray%20around%20the%20garden.
