  3. > I may soon have to make an executive decision, which will not be to anyone else's advantage. Alle!
  4. Cf also the valued contributions of the still-registered Alicibuse77: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/profile.php?20,65563
  5. No Dolly. :(
  6. > Does anyone know how to turn the survey into a click through link? You include the http:// before the link, as in http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/DYC PS: just noticed Woodquest's 08:41 post and done some testing. The reason that link wasn't turned into a clickable one was the presence of the leading bracket in (http . Remove that and it's fine: http://pelkhil.edu.bt/?p=3511. You can, btw, always check the links in Preview before posting.
  7. > Daisy Bell Which I first encountered in the set of songs included in the community singing for eight-year-olds before Saturday morning pictures. I've a fine cover verson by Tin Hat: . But no. The target song has been covered by Judy and Marianne. I may soon have to make an executive decision, which will not be to anyone else's advantage.
  8. 1920s
  9. The name of the character who sings this song is included in its title. The woman who first played her was married to the song's composer. Heads will roll.
  10. Edda Who are Dulwich Young Cyclists? What specifically are they applying for funds for? Where can we read details of this competition for funds, and the requirements of the scheme? What is the relation of the number and content of responses to any success in obtaining funds? Is the campaign you mention in the survey distinct from the competition and the survey?
  11. Another clue. You don't who you're talking to, do you?
  12. I had to look that up. No. But a useful line of thought.
  13. Jermy, I think you've misconstrued my question, so I'll rephrase it: Is there any rationale for offering such help only to cancer patients? I have looked up the actual conditions,. There's a useful recent DfT guidance document too: https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/181507/eligibility-review.pdf [PDF, 316kB]
  14. I do hope we've not put Lucy off kindness and generosity for life. :) That would be a sad welcome to her majority, and a loss to all.
  15. Is there any rationale for restricting such help to cancer patients?
  16. > I didn't think anything suspect of it at all, just took the note for its word, but seems like I'm the only one No.
  17. None of the above, though cs's suggestion of a lyrical character gets us closer.

  19. I'll save any further clue until I've heard from the morning shift, assuming they survive the night.
  20. No, No.
  21. > Yes-I came over all curmudgeonly It's a bit difficult to even moot the point that sweetie giving and receiving isn't necessarily inherently good, isn't it? Now a gift of home-grown veg, that I really would think of as kind.
  22. Nope.
  23. Just seen this. Sorry for the delay. And my clue is ... Some day my ship will come.
  24. > So I took some photos and made sure the photo I wanted to transfer was in the same folder...still no sign of it back in the camera though. Do the filenames follow the naming convention that your camera uses?
  25. > Portishead sounding just brilliant Nugger. I'd have watched if I'd known they were on, or even Beth Gibbons on her own. I don't suppose anyone's got a recording ...?
