They are different sites, btw. The OP one was recently registered to the University of Portsmouth, Dept. of Geography.

The site isn't returning any content, and is reporting a heavy load, so probably not much point in trying at the moment. I'll have another look later tonight or tomorrow.

Barclays Cycle Superhighway Route 5 - New Cross Gate to Victoria
ianr replied to bil's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks. I see there's some stuff here too, about existing cycle superhighways: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/roadusers/cycling/11901.aspx -
Their student union is on the case. https://www.ubu.org.uk/news/article/UBU/A-statement-regarding-the-University-of-Bristol-Christian-Union/ I hope they get it resolved before someone gets the idea that they have to get the police involved.

It's 4.30am and the heathrow flight path appears to be in use
ianr replied to maxtedc's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks, Burbage. Firstly, I take it that ED is _not_ in one of the test areas to be avoided by planes: it's between the inner northern and southern test areas for approaches from the east. Having looked through all the maps in the PDF, I'd want to see a proper written commentary before reaching any conclusion, and I take it that the trial's still underway. But the impression I get is that ED is, if anything, getting proportionately more of these early-morning overflights during trial weeks, because some of the flights are going over ED as a consequence of avoiding an active inner (blue border) test area. EDIT: 16:31 Sorry, I'm revising that. As Burbage suggests, parts of ED could be said to fall within the southern test area. ED station is on the N of BRIXTON, north of the area; North Dulwich station, within the area, is below its O. -
And I see that their Advent Calendar today is offering a discount (up to 15%) codeword. At least Amazon's website doesn't do the seasonal robins, snow, etc, schtick. ;(

Erotic male services offered for dulwich woman in need
ianr replied to Myhomeservices's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
wod, you did post some time ago, asking for "Someone who can teach me to ... without screaming." -
The report of it happening at work too sounds odd, unless you're relying upon some sort of cloud thing for your personal files. So does the reported difference between outcomes when logged in or out. But I'd be mildly surprised if clearing your browser's memory cache (NOT the same as Browsing History, which is simply a list of URLs) and maybe cookies (at least those for eastdulwichforum.co.uk) didn't resolve it. Or for diagnostics try another type of browser, if you have one installed or feel like doing do. Or using a different user account on your home machine.

The bottles of pee again/ Action/ Investigation
ianr replied to Nathan_worlingham's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
> I'm frankly incredulous that after all this time no-one's actually become exasperated enough to stake it out. :D > I'd have had the longs lens out and cranked the Canon to 6400 ISO months ago! Wait for the next batch, dust for fingerprints and photograph. If you find any prints common to many of the bottles, voila. -
By Jove, you're right.

From the previous thread: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,816118,page=7 [p.7]> After a few sips of one of the dark ones I cam confirm it's definitely urine. [p.8]>Came across council guy clearing up a nest of bottles just near crawthew. Said they were >definitely piss containers - taxi drivers main suspects. Said council would welcome information > on any cars seen dumping bottles. -
I don't know if anyone can answer that question without knowing what conditions, if any, were contained within his deceased cousin's will. That's something for her executors to deal with and tell you about. You may get some more informed advice from a specialised forum such as Usenet uk.legal.moderated newsgroup. But all such advice is without any responsibility or guarantee.

> Tourette's - or 'speaking in tongues' That's glossolalia, which I don't think has made it to disease status. There's not even a DSM-IV entry for it, whereas Tourette's is there and in ICD-10.

London Overground line extension timetable
ianr replied to craigyboy71's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There are some other possibilities for Victoria connections that may be worth bearing in mind, such as using Tulse Hill, Streatham Common or West Norwood. Your optimal choice may well depend on your exact time of travel. But of the limited examples I've looked at so far, it is possible, at least at some times of day, to get from East Dulwich to Victoria in 29 minutes via Tulse Hill and Herne Hill, or in 35 minutes via Streatham Common. The connecting trains go through Peckham Rye as well, of course. The times I've looked at are from the National Rail Journey Planner for journeys on Tuesday 11 December, ie after the timetable change. -
It does seem to be something of a great adventure. The station map at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/stations/BFR/details.html shows only platforms 1 and 2, and the live departures board also accessible there shows all trains leaving from one of those, apart from the Kentish Town ones, which appear to be leaving from platform 5.

The recent successful small claim case that got lots of publicity http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-20068927 didn't get to court. The company settled.

> We have TPS and are opted out of the electoral roll but still our details were got hold of from somewhere. The unedited edition of the 2011 electoral register for Dulwich and West Norwood -- which I believe contains most of what we call East Dulwich -- went permanently missing from Dulwich reference library some time in 2011.

East Dulwich Garden Centre - closing down
ianr replied to Stig75's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thread (Nov.2007): East Dulwich Garden Centre - possibly replaced with flats: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,63633 I've not looked up the outcome or developments. -
So what's your conclusion, Woodrot? Definitely misuse of your old address by someone who got the information of your move from a Royal mail employee; or maybe someone else, maybe even from the same flats, who knew of your move?
