I will pay ?100 to a charity of your choice, if you can eat a pizza 31 seconds (without stopping to huff and puff it cool) of it coming out cooked from a wood fired oven. You name the place, I?ll set up the challenge.
  4. Couldn?t we had a fusion of two tropes of the EDF. Maybe a Curry House X a Pizza Joint Mama Popa Dom?s
  5. If we?re between curds and Frenchie food stuff, then the 3rd wheel on the cart is verging into Sunday Roast territory. You know, that wonderful once a week thing that?s a bit like something between a school dinner and a Christmas dinner. Some places just do 3 or 4 options on it, one meat free and one where you can?t fookin decide/or you?re a greedy guts/so hung over and want the ?mixed roast?. Mid week to Friday/Sat you?ve got Franklins (or something like it) where some kind of fish/bird/cow based dish with an assortment of very nice seasonal things appear, or a side of mash/chips makes its way into the table. Basically there?s a format, a window of items within it. Take a day, a location, and apply the formula. Occasionally change it up with something spicy/eaten with sticks. Repeat.
  6. Where in East Asia, that?s some big space we?re taking
  7. Toasted now and Toasted then are two worlds apart. The early iteration was of the moment, with its wines, curds and ferments. It pushed the boundaries a little more than most, and was very much of that era, with a creative Australian chef doing his thing, unhindered mostly But the owners are French and the food now reflects that, they didn?t really get it (though they went along with it) totally when Mike Hazel was there, but it was part of the package. Alex the GM went off to set up his place in Kirkdale and the team slowly went their way. It was a unique time, one made possible by an assembly of quite unique people. Each bought something to it, it made it very good fun at times, the place had a real energy. I had something in there sometime ago towards the end of last year, French, spreadable on toast, meaty, with cornichons. It was nice enough, but also something I?d had a dozen times in a dozen (mainly French) places. Would I go back? Yeah for sure, when I?m fancying spreadable meats, with a few mini pickled cucumber type things and a little glass of wine.

True, you actually need a heart in the first place, before a defibrillator can be of any use. Maybe sometime could lend or donate, or even share one. This is starting to go into Frankenstein territory I know, but we gotta try something.
  12. I used to live in a village, and I couldn?t think of any where with a less village like feel then this area, I live within walking distance. We?re still in ?the shops? territory with this strip of retail property. Bellenden Road has way more village credentials, with a butcher, a cafe or 4, a connivence store, and relatively safe street crossing. And it still gets derided. Maybe it?ll stick in some people's mind, but it?s a stretch.
  13. For the future, a measure of caustic soda in a bucket of water. Leave for a few days, Ratus will be no more. Tip down the loo Wear gloves and eyewear when handling.

The 39 is a failure too. That?s x 4 units of 10, then isolate one of the units of 10, and then you?re back to the same old 10% discount scenario. It?s all conversational negotiating, just a little more evolved than ?back of a fag packet? calculations. And the back of a fag packet (and the front for that matter)feature a guy in a surgical hat having his heart jumpstarted, which is a fitting motif for where we are currently in the whole thing. All this may be a basis to start, but not finish negotiations on. Much like the heart, we may need a meaningful defibrillator to get us going again.
  15. 🕳 and we?re back in the fox hole. I get fed up with the laziness of people?s arbitrary use of 10 Why not 9 or 11? It?s a bit like when people call me up and say, I want a discount ?Give me 10% off and we have a deal? to which my thoughts are that 10% represents their level of competence, any more complex thinking is beyond them. And we?re the same here, grabbing at a figure and gluing some random outcome to it. Consistent though.

  18. There is a point when a place looses the interest, the captivating intrigue, and people just go ?Meh!? I walk past it often, it?s almost become invisible.
  19. There?s me thinking it was the delightful truffle hunting ground of Piedmont, one of 20 regions of the country which borders the Liguria region to the south, the Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna regions to the east and the Aosta Valley region to the northwest, where in the autumn the delicious and much prized tuber is hunted out. But no sadly, we?re talking up ?Piermont village? green, where people are more likely to take their dogs to be emptied, than dig up a truffle.

  21. Maybe a cow could sh1t on Mr Farage Even two cows, one either side, each time he opened his mouth
  22. Is Timmy Mallet still alive?
  23. I?ve thought about this. If I repeat custom anywhere, then it?s usually a lunchtime thing. In the evening when I?m home, I?ll not generally eat out, and if I do it won?t usually be local on the Lane, but once or twice I?ll meet someone at Franklins or The Palmerston. I eat out in the evening about two or tree times a week, and lunchtime around 4 - 5 times a week. But then it is part of my job, which isn?t local mostly.
  24. I used to sponsor my sons team, and take them to the match most Sundays. So I agree re the North Kent comment. It?s an area that?s been missed by time, specially the nasty little ground at Eltham, the thought of it still brings me out in a cold sweat. One day the police were called, as someone threatened and attempted to assault the ref. An older man, in a grey tracksuit (standard) wearing raybans (standard) and driving a car with blackout tint windows (standard) was arguing with the policeman ? yeah but as I swung at him he ducked, so I didn?t actually assault him, tho I meant to miss him anyways? My other observation was there must be one North Kent - Peaky Blinder school of barbering. Plus your son will be called Billy Bailey Bentley Boston Austin Aaron Archie Shane Shaney Or something along those lines and fouling is just ?playin the game mate? Oooooo I feel better getting that off my chest, I?ve held onto that for a few years now. I can relax and breathe a little easier. Thanks for listening/reading 👍🏽

Sue, you know not to ask, just take it as fact and move along.
