  1. The op has little actual interest in this thread. They?ll go to the local Greek/Italian again, like before. ?Shall I have the steak or chicken??

  3. Im all for Pink Unicorns 🦄 as tradings currency. I mean if people can keep millions in crypto currency in a cold wallet and a laptop, why not have a four legged fantasy pony as a trading vehicle for stuff. Ahh Haa haaa ahhhhh Haa ha Oh god, I?ve gone #BrexitBonkers na na na na na.

She?s trying to find a ?device? to delay the vote, which if you google ?device? you get device ?A plan, method, or trick with a particular aim? Sounds about right, what a sh*tshower
  5. Uh-Oh! Floor covering shop alert 🚨
  6. Is there a British version of Camel? We?ll probably have to substitute with Oxen or Cows So boring this Brexit thing, takes away the exoticness of being an outward looking country. That said, I look forward to getting some chicken as ?loose change?

This is a serious thread se22cat, please don?t derail it with silliness
  8. I usually carry cash and card, and my Apple Watch & I phone to back up the watch in case it runs out of charge. But I carry a back up battery pack and a lead, for both devices (my battery pack has two ports so I can charge both devices at the same time). But just in case I do carry another lead and plug, just in case the battery pack should need a charge. However, I do also have a camel and a couple of goats with me, just in case I have to barter. Though I?m finding that I often bring a barrow of carrots, as more and more people are turning vegan and won?t accept the goats, and trying to get change for a camel is difficult sometimes.
  9. The Nags Head, try that, it?s in the Old Town, where Peckham is still Peckham. If not, the members bar at Quo Vadis in Soho is super.
  10. Wasn?t there a film about a gardener guru I can?t be bothered to look it up, maybe Sue with her drug free mind can remember Sue?
  11. These ?where to eat? questions invariably end up with someone saying ?Wetherspoons? and the op probably eating a ready meal at home on the sofa, whilst watching ?The Voice?.
  12. They should have seatbelts I feel, and wear full face helmets and leathers, like proper bikers.
  13. I put Rendle in front by a head
  14. I?ve had this weird full moon like pull to look at the forum lately. I?ve really not been so interested in looking in for quite a long time. But Instagram is full of ads now and Twitter so noisy, whereas the EDF still feels cosy in many ways, almost quaint and old fashioned (like free parking on the Lane) But to see so many ?old faces? emerge has invigorated my interest somewhat. Maybe it?s time to revive an old friend. *pulls curtain*

  16. I made ?pour over? with a sock whilst on holiday in Italy I?d taken some very good (?23 a kilo) Monmouth coffee with me and neglecting to pack my Aero Press I was somewhat stumped. I did have a pair of new fresh Muji trainer socks with me, so took an empty water bottle, cut the top off, inverted the top to make a drixpper cone and lined it neatly with the sock. It made a fine ?pour over? and a surprisingly bright & well filtered one at that. Next series I ?ll be going into the Dragons Den to offer 1% of my ?SocKoffee? brand for a million quid.
  17. Sabrina79 is in the pub 5/6 times a week. That?s a habit not a hobby ☝️😃 Blimey!
  18. Don?t worry, Mrs R is a canny operator. She?s doing just fine in her new operating model.
  19. It?s a well deserved and pretty spot on review from Jay Rayner. I?ve known and worked on many projects with the guy who owns it, he?s a good person and has been grafting to get this place running like this for years. Well done, very pleased to see it recognised.
  20. I do it all the time, but you could type into ?notes? on an I-phone and once happy then copy and paste Instagram allows multiple corrections
  21. I quite like it, there?s something wild and f**k you about it. But I don?t live there, so I?m less engaged/enraged. They will be evicted, it?s the pattern of these things.
  22. I always say when asked about the accident I was in ? what the one I died in? yes that wasn?t good? and the other week a lady actually said ?this is serious you know? to which I replied ?yes, so is being dead? to which she put the phone down. Bloody cheek, I nearly rang her back.

Townleygreen Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Penge East is used by many Sydenham-ites as it's > closer than Syd Hill to most of the inhabitants > who wish to get to Brixton, Victoria etc. Correct, but it?s a weird place is Penge East. The air is permeated with the smell of chips and deep fried batter.
  24. I think phone tracking is mainly for ?did I leave my phone in the car/office/down the back of the sofa? type situation
  25. Sydenham gets a name check on Page 4 of A Laying of Hands by Alan Bennett. Yep, I?ve stored that useful fact in my head for years. There are two distinctly different areas of Sydenham. Upper and Lower. The later is dull as dishwater and the Lower Sydenham train station is quite possibly even duller. However, the Upper area towards Crystal Palace is more pleasing to the eye. At ?Cobbs Corner? roundabout (surely to be renamed ?Nando?s Corner?) is the better connected Sydenham station which is part of the East London (Orange) Line. Lastly, there is a Sydenham Hill station (which isn?t really in Sydenham proper) connecting you to Herne Hill, Brixton and then Victoria, this station is partly set in a woodland and is quite charming in its old London suburban way.
