Earlier in this thread there was a brief discussion about the valuation of "the shop next to the butchers". In 2004 the lease which then expired in 2012 of the lingerie shop on the corner was on the market with a rental of ?11k p.a. and a premium of ?60k. This seemed realistic pricing then.

Foxtons have lost a significant court case about their contract conditions. Significant enough to make it to The Times Law Reports. Anyone who signed up to Foxtons in the glitz of their arrival in East Dulwich and who now feels shafted may now have recourse if they are in similar circumstances to the plaintif. -
Does anyone know details of the deal Spicerhaart are said to be doing with Tesco? Will we have a Tesco branded estate agent on Lordship Lane?

Last year Foxtons' net profit before tax was ?25m. 60 staff "left" Foxtons in February 2008. Foxtons' management say completed transactions are 20%-30% down (in number) this year. Is Foxtons' still solvent?

Untrained staff: didn't know their way around the electoral roll, and tried to take my three ballot papers from me to face the bar cards and put them in the ballot box for me. Cardboard ballot box less secure than those seen in Harare. The metal ballot boxes were not worn out. Who got the contract for the cardboad ones and at what cost? Someone, by name, is responsible for this shambles. Who is it?

This was a quiet one, karter. The official paperwork changed some time back. The earliest I retained dates from 11 April. What I do not know is who was the beneficial owner at the time of the campaign and petition against the Dulwich Medical Centre pharmacy. [Not that I'm suggesting the dispensing of free lozenges.] -

Nearly everyone posting in the rent-share section of the EDF is a "professional". When I was young a professional was a doctor, lawyer, architect, civil engineer etc. "Professional" is now the East Dulwich white-collar worker?
