  1. thats' the funniest thing I've seen for a while! yeah I bet it's a student prank. Some young chappy from the college woke up to find it in his bed the next day after a particularly heavy bender. I bet the house master was furious and is desperatly trying to conceal the evidence before said filth come round to nick him. The shame.
  2. I can second that Duwlich_Park_Fairy!!!we used to live in Dulwich Village (until they found out we were peasants!) and we had a single landlord. She was a bloody nightmare.
  3. Jesus I'm not even as high profile as a civil servant! I'm an actor (currently working in a Barristers Chambers because that's what us low life have to do to get by) Goodness, I must learn my place in society and in the housing market musn't I. I suppose I'll keep on renting from my several property owning landlord until Hollywood comes my way. Either that or move to a hood where no one wants to live.
  4. DiscoDex maybe you should be careful how you come across on this forum. To me you are aggressive and antagonistic as others say. You say what you like, just be sensistive to others.
  5. Did anyone got to the residents meeting yesterday at 4.30pm regarding this? It was held at the girls school on the other side of PRPark (the name escapes me)
  6. Brendan wrote: "If renting was properly regulated and the rights of the renter were protected it would be a viable option but in the UK they are not."....eek, I suddenly feel very overwhlemed and not very well. I'm going to sit in the corner quietly.
  7. I went up there in the rain last week and had some happy chappy run towards me with a flyer in his hand, informing me that the store was shut for a week. Not much good when LL; despite the supply of food stores, just doesn't have everything I need. I did go to the farmers market at Dulwich colleage yesterday and stocked up. Much better than Sainos.
  8. DiscoDEx wrote :For those interesed in buying in ED, stand by cos this could spark the biggest influx of property on the market in area for quite a while.................watch this space!! Right so the house prices are pushed up in ED and this according to you is a good thing? So people who are renting in ED at the moment (filthy low down renting folk like myself) who can't afford the house prices are they are right now, how then de we rejoice in more houses on the market with even hefteier price tags? Seems that there's only one winner here and it's the property developer.
  9. that's right Ted Max. It would make the ticket hall feel alot warmer/safer etc. Provide extra security by having some stools and tables for the coffee drinkers to perch at, and at the same time make the ATM users feel less like they're about to be robbed at gunpoint. (that's just my personal opionion!)

if you're on a job n' knock then you drink more to speed you along.

as long as the builders arent drinking it whilst working otherwise your house would end up looking like shite.

I thought only Mr/Mrs Admin could do that. Do you mean weedy man that you also have powers?

yeah, 4 quid fifty for a glass of red gone that's off and the glass is covered in pearly pink lipgloss.
  14. Blackheath is the largest plague burial ground in South London....

That picture is what you can expect to look like when you're in the Herne. Mr Madworld 74 says he ages 10 years when he goes in....

or you could just play in it Mockney Piers...
  17. I agree with you there Ted Max. Why cant we have one of those 'on-the-platform' coffee shacks like they do elsewhere. Or is that just not Peckham.
  18. I like it strong and rich...just like my men. Oh god. sorry. I'm bored at work. I'll go now. Sorry.
  19. I run 4 times a week round most of the green spaces in the area. It always beats the gym!
  20. cleaver! yes! terrible. There isn't another decent coffee place in ED. Too busy in Blue Mountain. Coffee in the Drum is always burnt and well, haven't tried anywhere else.
  21. oh stop being cleaver Alan Dale, come on, lets talk about coffee. Whether Spirit is 'dirty' or not that's for them to reveal behind closed doors. Do you think Monmouth would look at ED? I think they're too big.
  22. Monmouth are great. Has anyone tried the coffee at Peckham Rye station at 'Sips'...Jesus wept. Costa Coffee does do a good bean. They're better in my humble opinion that Starbucks...
  23. They are so busy in there (as per the que) that they don't have enough barristas to clear the tables as they get used and abused. You should say something, I'm sure you won't be the first. To tell you the truth I have noticed an explosive of people into LL of a Saturday morning. Many more than there used to be. I don't think CN can cope with the demand.
  24. mattindulwich, wasn't it you who also asked about PUSH Studios on this forum a few days ago? what sort of thing are you looking for?
  25. yeah if you can wait for almost a year on the wait list at Jags!!!! I put my name down and 7 months later!!! when I was fat! they called up and said "oh are you still interested in joining?"........... The swimming pool at the old Victorian baths is not that great. Very boxy and noisey. But it is a nice old building. Depends what kind of experience you want.
