  12. [quote name=Hi everyone.. What's everyone up to' date=' over the next few days?? Andy] well Andy did ask TLS, and I am just dead excited about my trip!!! and I was only trying to let SteveT know that his rather unpositive views were not going to put me off looking forward to it:)
  13. [quote name=golden handshakes' date=' 1st class flights, deals in Michelin starred restaurants, massively self inflated wages, back handers, comfortable, unaccountable and completely arrogant. ] that somehow also reminds me of the square mile, politicians, large commercial corporations, locally authority planning deptartments...etc.etc. but I still like iplayer (or is that ipayer)?
  14. hhhhmmmm.... tricky not quite sure where to start looking for these "things" I don't know about, that I clearly should know about, when I don't know what those illusive things might be should I start by looking into the "TV i" that you mention above? possibly some new form of technology that I should know about???
  15. @ ?2.74 per week News 24 and bbc iplayer alone seem excellent value to me(tu) and then you get the other occasional gems to boot... plus it's a lot cheaper than buying a paper everyday and saves on the recycling!

  23. intermittent connection on my internet connection.. virgin say it's me or bt bt say it's me or virgin virgin happened to mention that 75,000! (yes I have put the right number of zeros) are having connection problems in south london... any one else find that 'passing the buck' seems to be becoming the norm??
  24. I am wondering why, under any circumstances, it would be necessary or appropriate for an office on duty to cover his face... When on street duty one is a public figure and should be seen as such, there is (or should be) absolutely nothing to hide... While on the march I do not recall seeing a single police office with a covered face, it was a coolish day but hardly arctic, so why was his face covered in the first place? Can anyone explain... ???
