  5. brilliant game horsebox... I used to play regularly with mates in North London but somehow got out of the swing... had been meaning to find out what was happening locally or set something up for the summer... thought the Dulwich Woodhouse had a piste... think they may have removed it... sorry if I have slightly highjacked your thread Andystar!! Have done a brief search on the forum but not much forthcoming hey... just remembered... Cleaver Square, Kennington. The south London Mecca for p?tanque .... there used to be a piste in the middle of the square and there is that really nice pub the Albert so everything you could dream of!!! look what I just found... good old internet eh! http://www.obps.co.uk/team.html

  7. now, now... no need to go into an irrational rage guys xxxCC>:D<
  8. [quote name=I think you guys need to take a chill pill man' date=' so wound up about so little. Not good for the blood pressure. ] no no asset... I love this post... really good to get it out of your system sooooo cathartic for all us grumpy 'old' men and women of ED oh dear, there I go again putting a MASSIVE pic up just to irritate the grumpy old men
  9. had edited it before you'd even had time to put up your post!!! na-na, nanaa na>:D< (or however you would spell that thing kids do in the playground) [quote=People who place great empthasis on certain words and then don't spell them correctly.. REALY Chas x 2 ]
  10. they keep comin' this morning... and people who start sentences with "well... basically" and the REALLY irritating thing is that I do it!!!!! ps I know someone is about to put... "people who put too may images on forums" so I thought I'd better get that one out the way, pronto!
  11. oh yes, and two more... people who don't seem to know where the accelerator peddle is in their car... people who say, when ordering a drink, "Can I get a beer"... of course you can't get a bloody beer, thats' the barman's job!!! and anyway what's wrong with the word have all of a sudden, have we all moved to New York?????
  12. absolutely agree flapjackdavey but get this.. We rented our place in spain out for two weeks to some people we didn't know. I was there the following week and was merrily cleaning my ears (sand gets in funny places!) with a cotton bud... it was only at the end of the week (and some cotton buds later) I that I realised that they had been using them and putting the dirty ones (and I am talking really dirty) back in the box, used end down. Now picture which end you use when you pick one out of the box!!! Not only REVOLTING but also bloody irritating!
  13. Do you mean what does BACS stand for? If so, it is a bank to bank transfer (Bankers' Automated Clearing Service) the money usually takes 3 working days to arrive into the account.
  14. oh-oh, boys looks like we are back to the dreaded 'bile and vitriol' thread... shit happens... but don't worry it will pass...
  15. JetSetWilly Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > people who fart in my face going up the escalator > in the tube stations, reallly gets my goat up. or did you mean "gets up my nose"?;-)
  16. oh yes TLS... people who don't say thank you... when you 'let them in' when driving when you stop to let then cross on a zebra crossing when... well any time it would have just seemed common courtesy to say thank you think people seem to have forgotten that being nice doesn't kill you!!!
  17. Irrational Rage is bit strong for me but there are umpteen Little Things That Cause me really irritate me call waiting, how many buttons do you have to press before you can speak to someone when your phone rings and you pick up and it's a whingey recorded voice that you don't want to hear the constant need to upgrade your computer kit just to 'stay still' with your skills and equipment what I call the sh*te of life... the every increasing level of organisational farting about needed to do to run your life people walking really slowly in front of you but somehow managing not letting you get by spitting people who let their dogs crap on the street 'jobs worth' people having at least 6 different ways that people can contact me people who think they should go ahead of you in the queue because they have a child (even though it's sleeping contentedly in its buggy) people who go 'sniff' 'sniff' 'sniff' 'sniff' 'sniff' repeatedly in your ear when you are sitting next to them on the train people (like me) who then moan about things on a forum... *thinks... normally really positive, which side of the bed did I get out of today?*
  18. I'll be there too... if my food allergy has calmed down by then!
  19. [quote= Brendan... If you read the reports apparently where this and some other incidents occurred was in areas where the cops had confined the protesters to cordons and were stopping them from marching. ] That is exactly what happened, everyone was being very well behaved, and suddenly we were penned in (I think it may have been at the same time that the Royal Bank of Scotland got broken into, suspect the police may have thought the Bank of England group would get wind of it and move the join the other group), it was only when we got penned in that people started getting fractious... it feels horrid to be trapped, people feel claustrophobic... that's when it all started 'kicking off' to quote the thread... IMO not well managed by the police... very glad I got out when I did...
  20. [quote name=The agenda are variously: calling for the protection of people?s savings and pensions and putting a stop to exploitative practices in financial services' date=' calling for political action on the use of fossil fuels, calling for an end to military action oversees and calling for domestic policies of job creation and social stability. ] Thank you brendan... thanks for the voice of reason. I've just got back from the march... plenty of down to earth and straight forward, law abiding people, who just wanted to show their concerns about various political/financial/environmental issues (minority after trouble, but what's new). Things were beginning to get a bit gritty, and the police were starting to pen us in... so I thought it was time to go, at first the police cordon would not let me through but I moved along the line, and a nice softy let me duck under.... I walked back over Southwark Bridge... some of the 'dressed down' city folks looked a bit hilarious... like they had never worn jeans in their life... Must dash... off to a meeting at the studio.. how bloody contradictory does that feel, yes, I can laugh at myself!!>:D< but, hey ho...life goes on. ps Glad I went...
  21. It 'kicks off' at 11.00 (as I keep trying to tell you all!!!) Are you concerned about the global financial crisis? Are you unhappy about the way the government has handled the banking crisis? Do you feel that the constant push to 'consume' is the right way forward for society? Are you worried about unemployment issues? Are you worried about your savings or your pension? Are you concerned about others who may be in a worse situation than you??? Various groups are assembling at 4 london stations Each group represents an 'issue' Financial crisis (LONDON BRIDGE STATION... see you all there!!) Climate Change Anti War and I think the fourth is Jobs and Justice see facebook link for more detail http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=53674491031 *thinks to herself... where is everybody?*
  22. it the above post what you were waiting for ?????? or are you at the bus stop??
  23. hey guys look! the following thread covered the same topic some time ago, great minds think alike!!(tu) [quote name=[quote=what's the best ........?? you've ever had? Posted by: charliecharlie March 18' date=' 08:57AM Think I've just had my best steak and chips ever! Went to the Magnolia last night (and no, I do not have shares in the place, nor am I the chef!) and had the most delicious tasty plate of Frenchy-ness and was instantly transported into holiday mode. I asked for medium rare and it was!, proper home made b?arnaise sauce with fresh tarragon. Nice pile of chips and a big green salad with basil and parsley plus a perfect dressing. Bloody brilliant What is your "best I've ever had"? Does not have to be food.... xxcc]
